Mama June Shares Post-Funeral Activities, Video For Anna
Mama June Shannon and family held the funeral for Anna Cardwell on Wednesday, December 13th. She passed away from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma on Saturday, December 9th. The biggest fear fans had was that this was going to turn into a circus. Now, June is sharing what transpired after everyone went home. Read on for more details.
Mama June Shares Post-Funeral Activities, Video For Anna
The details for Anna Cardwell’s funeral were shared by Mama June on social media. She explained that everyone would be gathering and there would be one hour for fans to come and pay their respects. At the same time, she also was eager to get Anna’s favorite musician, Cooper Alan to attend. More so, she tried to make her video go viral in an attempt to get him to play for the family. He did respond to her plea but he was sadly out of the country but said he would send a video. Fans did not care for how June was going about this and wanted her to grieve in a better way.
Now that the funeral has come and gone, June has taken to TikTok to share what transpired afterward. They headed to Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird’s home and did a balloon release. Admittedly, June is very drained from the last few days of saying goodbye to her eldest daughter. Yet, she did note that she wanted to share the video that Cooper Alan made for Anna. As for cremation, June explained that Anna did not “want to rot in the ground” so everyone would get a bit, including her stepfather, Justin Stroud.

Cooper Alan then sent a strong but sweet message to the family and reminded them how amazing Anna was. He did say that had he been in Nashville, he would have hopped in the car and been at the funeral. However, he sang beautifully and fans could not help but leave positive remarks.

What’s Next?
For now, the family will continue to grieve. Anna Cardwell leaves behind two young daughters as well as a husband, Eldridge Toney who she wed at the beginning of her diagnosis. Their wedding was apparently filmed so hopefully fans can see that moment of happiness. Mama June’s show, Family Crisis, will return in February of 2024 and Anna will be featured. It seems that this day turned out to be everything Anna could have wanted and more.
