‘Welcome To Plathville’ Olivia Plath Hints Divorce Is Done?
Welcome to Plathville fans heard that Ethan and Olivia Plath planned for a divorce and that played out in Season 5 of the TLC show. Although she denied it ahead of the latest season, fans always thought that it might end up this way. Especially, as Kim Plath tossed her religion out the the door and divorced Barry. This weekend, Ethan Plath’s estranged wife hinted strongly that the divorce is done.
Olivia Plath & Ethan Plath Clashed Often
Welcome to Plathville fans initially liked Ethan’s wife because she rescued a child-like man from a secluded life in Georgia. Additionally, she helped Moriah and Micah Plath with their careers. However, everything started going pear-shaped when she insisted that she and her husband should relocate to Tampa, Florida. However, her constant clashes with Kim turned the entire family against her.
By Season 5 of the TLC show, any hope of saving Olivia Plath and Ethan’s marriage seemed in vain. By then, lots of TLC fans had also turned on the outsider. Non-fans of the Welcome to Plathville star were happy to hear Ethan tell her that he was done with the fiasco. In Season 1, he said that the first six months of marriage were the best days of his life. Now, he dislikes his wife so much that he doesn’t want kids with her.
Welcome to Plathville – The Divorce Is Done?
TLC fans fear that the next season might reveal the couple reuniting or undergoing some sort of couples therapy. And so far, it seems the divorce might not be finalized. At least, until this weekend when she talked about Ethan Plath’s parents. It came during a Q&A on Instagram.
A fan didn’t talk about divorce, but in a way, the TLC star did. The fan asked her if she regrets “being on welcome to Plathville.” In her reply, Olivia Plath talked about how she didn’t know what she was getting into.
Technically, I did say “yes” to being on the show, but there was a lot of pressure, rushed/forced contracts, secrets kept, such as compensation, etc, and straight up lies told to me by my ex-inlaws, so 20 year old me had no idea what she was getitng into.
When Olivia Plath claimed that Barry and Kim lied to her, note that she used the words, “ex in-laws.” Certainly, that sounds as if the divorce happened. Of course, if she and Ethan separated, then she might think of them as her ex-in-laws. Until such time as the divorce filings are found by a sleuthing journalist, it’s hard to say for certain where the two TLC stars stand.

Olivia seems to be picking apart her marriage and Ethan! She SHOULD be looking at what is good in their relationship, and what is good about Ethan. They both have never had a “normal” life until they broke free from their respectful families. And now they are challenged by “THE OUTSIDE, CRAZY WORLD!” They should be experiencing all of this TOGETHER! Embracing diversity TOGETHER! And then falling into each other through it all! Those of us that are in fourth year plus marriages can attest that ITS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! It takes TOTAL LOVE AND TOTAL COMMITMENT to survive any relationship that is worth anything deep and lasting!
Olivia life is never perfect but it is wonderful. . . Including the messy parts! It’s EASY to say we grew apart and divorce. . . But let me remind you that your arch nemesis Kim is doing just what it seems like you want to do. . . Just watch this past season and you will see how this woman has and probably still is destroying all the peoples lives around her! That is a classic narcissistic dangerous behavior trait. Are you overreacting and overthinking things that really do not matter in healthy relationships? It almost seems like you just don’t want to be with Ethan or in a marriage! If this is the case LEAVE and know that you will NEVER be happy because you will no doubt ruin everything in all your relationships to come.
Look into and lean into each other and ALWAYS FIND THE GOOD in it all! You realize after year thirty that you’re married your best friend and that you would never change all the ups and downs of your marriage! It’s a privilege and a gift to be with that person year after year! Unless he is beating you daily. . . It’s cowardice to end any marriage! Did you ever stop to think that your opposites can turn into some of the strongest parts of your marriage? Your weaknesses are his strengths and his weaknesses are your strengths??? If you do leave your marriage Ethan will find someone quickly and you will chase something that doesn’t exist. . . Good luck 🍀
