One of the major questions this season is about Ethan and Olivia’s relationship. The young couple has seemingly grown apart and they now appear to be on different pages. Things appear to be pretty rocky, based on what fans have seen on the show.
Divorce rumors have swirled, though Olivia and Ethan Plath have not confirmed that they are splitting up. As we reported, Olivia got cryptic about love on Instagram this weekend. Now, in the second half of the season, fans will get a closer look at where the couple stands.
Ethan Plath finally admits he’s ‘done’ with Olivia.
After the new Welcome to Plathville episode aired, TLC dropped a mid-season preview showing what’s ahead in the remaining episodes. It looks like things will continue heating up between Ethan and Olivia as they navigate the next chapter in their relationship.
In the intense preview, Ethan and Olivia sit down and ask each other why they’ve changed and what happened to the people they were before. Then, Ethan explains, “When me and Olivia moved up here to Minnesota, we were in a very good place. That has completely disappeared in a matter of months.”
During a conversation with a friend, Olivia explains that Ethan wants kids. But she feels that he doesn’t want to have kids with her. About this topic, Ethan explains, “I am not tolerant of some of the beliefs you have and you are not tolerant of some of the beliefs I have.”
In a confessional, Ethan Plath says, “Going along to get along — that’s a recipe for a miserable life. I don’t want that.”
After this intense joint confessional with Olivia, Ethan eventually decides he’s done. He admits, “I’m done. I am done.” That’s where the Welcome to Plathville preview ends.
