Lydia Plath Finally Introduces New Boyfriend To Everyone
In Season 2, of Welcome to Plathville, Moriah returned home and chatted with Lydia Plath about her future. At the time, TLC fans were about to meet Moriah’s new boyfriend, Max Kallschmidt. Talking about dating, Moriah’s younger sister claimed that she might have an interest in someone, but she wasn’t dating. Three seasons on, she revealed in the finale that she has been dating for a while.
Lydia Plath Clashed With Her Mom About Boys
The fifth child in the Plath family seemed extremely religious. She spent hours cooped up in her prayer closet. and went for long walks while praying. Many TLC fans thought that she lived a very limited and unnatural life. For her, religion seemed a place of comfort in a dysfunctional family. Perhaps in another religion, she might have considered becoming a nun.
When Lydia Plath was 17, she started sending texts to a boy, and her mom, Kim gave her a difficult time about it. Mind you, she did send plenty of texts. At least, Barry and Kim decided in the end to give her a bit of space, but fans felt very sorry for her. Those who hoped that she might break free like Moriah were disappointed, and nowadays she seems just as religious as ever. But, she finally found someone to love.

InTouch Weekly wrote about the finale of Season 5 and reminded viewers that Moriah’s younger sister is dating a boyfriend. Actually, they dated for “quite a while.” The reveal came in her confessional after she spent time in her prayer closet. The photo that flashed on the screen didn’t show his face. However, as fans predicted, he’s religious too. She said, “He is amazing, just an amazing man of God.”
Lydia Plath seemed very shy and embarrassed as she talked about her boyfriend.
We met through mutual friends [and] it’s sweeter than I could have asked for or thought of or dreamed of, and it’s more beautiful than I could have imagined. We wanted to keep it private, just to grow in our relationship, to make sure we’re steady and firm and everything before throwing it out there.
According to the Welcome to Plathville star, her family likes her boyfriend and they accept him. Possibly, she met him during the summer when she embarked on a mission across much of the USA to spread the word about Jesus. As the reveal came at the end of Season 5, TLC fans might get to see more about Lydia’s boyfriend in Season 6.
