‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Pat Sajak Catches Contestant Straight Up Lying
Wheel Of Fortune host Pat Sajak takes the game show very seriously. During a recent episode, a contestant tried to lie about letter choices but Pat stopped her to make sure everyone on the stage was playing fair. Keep reading to see what unfolded on Wheel Of Fortune.
Pat Sajak Calls Contestant Out For Lying
Lindsey, a retired police detective, was recently featured on the game show. While she was working to complete the bonus prize puzzle, Pat Sajak caught her in a lie.
She chose the “Phrase” category and, as usual, she received the letters R, S, T, L, N, and E on the board. Then, Pat prompted her to choose three consonants and a vowel of her own to help solve the puzzle.
The contestant stated that she wanted to pick H, D, and S as her consonants and O as her vowel. It was clear that she didn’t realize that S had already been provided to her in the original letters she was given.
Pat Sajak asked Lindsey about her letter choices to confirm that she’d asked for one that was already on the board. “Okay. That third letter was H, D…?” he questioned her.

However, instead of telling the truth, Lindsey tried to change her letter choices. She scrambled and said that she chose H, D, and C.
The veteran Wheel Of Fortune host wasn’t going to just let it go though. “But you did say S, right?” he grilled the contestant. Lindsey stuck to her lie and stated that she chose C.
He asked her again, giving her a chance to fess up. “No? Hold on. Earlier, did you say S or F?” Pat Sajak continued to question her. “You said H, D….” Despite being given multiple chances, Lindsey stuck with her fib, stating that she chose C.
It was an uncomfortable moment. At the end of the day, she didn’t wind up winning the $40,000 bonus puzzle prize, though.
Wheel Of Fortune Fans Noticed Contestant’s Lie Too
Pat Sajak wasn’t the only one to call Lindsey out for her lies on the TV game show. Wheel Of Fortune fans took to X to point out how she lied on the program too.

“This lady just lied on Wheel of Fortune about what letter she said. Pat tried to correct her and asked her to repeat what she said. I rewound to confirm the lie. None of her other letters worked though and she couldn’t guess it, so instant karma for her,” one person wrote on social media.
Another person said that she displayed “UNREAL cop behavior on Wheel Of Fortune” and pointed out that she did say the letter S.
Wheel Of Fortune airs each weeknight on ABC.
