Rumors about Live Kelly Ripa retiring started up soon after Ryan Seacrest left the morning talk show on ABC. Well, she put in the hard yards, worked for decades there, and deserves to relax and enjoy her golden years. However, she probably won’t do that as she’s a livewire. Nevertheless, there is something that she really wants to do.

Live With Kelly & Mark Kelly Ripa Hints At Retirement Often

While she sometimes jokes about it, the wife of Mark Consuleos thinks about walking away from her morning talk show. In September, Mark addressed the subject with Nischelle Turner and said that he believes that his wife is thinking about leaving her job. He’s convinced that she deserves to take it easy. However, it probably won’t happen in the next five minutes.

Live Kelly Ripa once declared that she would like to be a “party starter.” Alternatively, she wouldn’t mind opening a travel agency. Actually, travel is one of her favorite things in life.  Additionally, she is considering becoming a “fitness instructor.” All of those things might suit her personality. But which direction she goes seems to change from time to time. Now, she’s thinking about a different direction.

The Sun reported that the ABC star spoke with Chelsea Handler on her Let’s Talk off Camera podcast recently. Both of them grew up in New Jersey, so lots of chatter came about that common background. Later, the conversation turned to retirement. Actually, it’s not a shocker because she talked about that for months now.

The outlet cited Kelly as saying:

I didn’t go to college either, and every time I go to visit – our youngest son is at The University of Michigan – and every time I go to visit him… I’m like, I’m going to go to college here. I’m finally going to when I retire from show business, I’m going to get my college degree, and I can’t wait to go to the University of Michigan.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that she will go to college. Often, she jokes about her life. Still, it would certainly keep her bright mind engaged. In October when she spoke with Ryan Seacrest, the Live with Kely and Mark host admitted that retirement is “close.” Perhaps she might really attend college and then go and start up her travel agency, or just keep on podcasting. It’s a bit hard to imagine her staying at home pruning the roses all day long.

What do you think about Kelly Ripa planning for college after she retires from Live with Kelly and Mark? Will she really go? Do you hope that she enjoys it? Will she wait until her son Joaquin graduates? Did you attend college late in life? Let us know in the comments below, and come back here for the latest news on Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa.
