Kroy Biermann Faces New Lawsuit Amid Financial Woes

Former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Kroy Biermann has been hit with a lawsuit from Chase Bank over his $13K in credit card debt.

This year has not been kind to the Biermann family. Both Biermann and Zolciak-Biermann filed for divorce in May but then decided to get back together in July. Just a few months later, Biermann filed for a divorce once again. He stated that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” He also asked for full custody of their children along with sole possession of their home in Atlanta.

Biermann then put the home on the market just a few days later. In the divorce filing, Biermann said that he hoped that the sale of the home would provide “enough income to secure their own individual residences, thus taking the children out of the toxic environment.”

Unable To Tackle Credit Card Debt

Unfortunately for Biermann, the potential sale of his million-dollar home cannot come soon enough. According to court documents, Chase Bank has sued the Real Housewives Of Atlanta alum after the debt has remained unpaid for months. In the documents, Biermann is alleged to have racked up staggering credit card balances throughout the past year. Chase presented Biermann’s own bank statements in their lawsuit.

Various account statements dated as far back as November 2022 were attached to the filing. As noted in the lawsuit, Biermann owes $13,071.88 to Chase Bank. The statements that were attached show that Kroy began to fall behind on his payments at the beginning of the summer.

Neither Biermann nor his legal team have yet to release a statement in response to the lawsuit.

Kroy Biermann’s Lawsuit Riddled Year

Chase Bank’s lawsuit is just one of many that Kroy Biermann and his wife Kim Zolciak-Biermann have faced in 2023. Just last month, the couple was ordered to pay over $200,000 to Simmons Bank. The couple failed to file an answer with the bank within 15 days, so the court ordered that they must pay the bank an initial $226,836.22.

The Biermanns also owed $2,071.57 in foreclosure fees and $1.945.31 in attorneys’ fees. The Simmons Bank suit was initially filed back in July. Biermann and Zolciak-Biermann faced the lawsuit after defaulting on a home equity line of credit.

To add insult to injury, BMW Financial Services also sued the former NFL player for failing to make payments on his car. Biermann’s $300,000 Rolls-Royce was then repossessed. BMW alleged that Biermann defaulted on the terms of the contract. The company also claimed that Biermann then “failed and refused” to turn over the vehicle.

What do you think of the Biermann’s current situation? Do you think that they will figure out their problems without any further lawsuits? Or will the mounting debts and relationship troubles be too much to overcome? Let us know your opinion in the comments section.
