How Does Barry Plath Feel About Kim Dating?
During the most recent episode of Welcome To Plathville, Barry Plath talks about his thoughts on Kim Plath moving on. While the Plath patriarch was hesitant to open up, he answered the filming crew. Notably, the two are still in the process of getting their divorce.
Time To Meet Again
In the Tuesday, November 14 episode, Barry Plath and Kim Plath are brought together for Moriah Plath’s dance competition. Significantly, this is the first time they have seen each other since Kim revealed dating Ken Palmer. Nervously, Kim expresses, “This is the first time I’ve been at an event with Barry and the children since they all have learned that I’m dating someone now.” Knowingly, she continues, “I’m a little bit nervous. It’s a little bit awkward, but it’s important for Barry and I to set aside our differences so that the children can have two parents there that are civil to each other.”
Ethan And Lydia Give Their Thoughts
Seemingly, the situation is awkward for everyone, not just Kim and Barry Plath. While Lydia Plath doesn’t agree with Kim dating, she is respectfully trying to support her mother in ways she can. She says, “It’s not my life, and no matter what choices or decisions any of my family makes, I’m still gonna love them and be here for ‘em even if I don’t 100 percent agree with it in the moment.” However, Ethan Plath has very different views. His expression is that a person can date whoever they want, but it needs to be after the divorce is final. His stance, “I just think it’s wrong to start a relationship with someone when you’re still finalizing the divorce with the person that you’re still married to.”

Barry Plath Gives His Thoughts On Kim Dating
As the Welcome To Plathville episode develops, Barry Plath answers some questions about the interaction with Kim. Barry confides, “For the sake of the children, I can be around Kim and I can be civil and put myself in Moriah’s shoes and say, ‘Hey, it just would be nice to have us all together… If you show your support for me that would probably mean a lot to me.’” Continuing saying, “And then I think, on the other hand, Kim’s making choices in her personal life that I don’t condone, specifically dating Ken, you know, don’t condone it, don’t agree with it, but yet it’s happening in front of me.”
Admittedly, Barry Plath says “It may look like I’m dealing with things moving forward,” he confesses. Continuing, “But, I mean, there are times through the whole process of divorce that I’m just, like, angry at her.” Then the film crew asks if he has met Ken yet. Emphatically he replies, “When it comes to Kim and her private life, that’s her jurisdiction.” Directly, he continues, “I’m not involved there. Next question.”
