Season 9 of Bachelor In Paradise is bringing drama to the TV screen, but the drama between two contestants spilled over online. During the episode airing November 2, Olivia Lewis and Kylee Russell were live-tweeting their reactions along with viewers.
At one point, Lewis accused Russell of interfering in the connections she had with Will Urena and John Henry Spurlock.
In response, Russell retorted that she’s only loyal to people she considers friends.
On-screen, Olivia Lewis also confronted Kat Izzo for intruding on her flirtation with John Henry Spurlock. After initially asking Lewis on a date, Spurlock also felt an interest in pursuing Kat Izzo.
John Henry Spurlock Makes His Choice
The Olivia Lewis/John Henry Spurlock/Kat Izzo love triangle came to an end during the most recent episode of BIP. During the rose ceremony, Spurlock gave his rose to Izzo, leaving Lewis on the verge of elimination.
However, an unexpected hero came to her rescue. Brayden Bowers gave Olivia Lewis his rose, ensuring she wouldn’t go home.
Sadly, it seems the Bachelor Season 27 contestant is dealing with more drama on social media than on the show.
BIP Star Olivia Lewis Exposes Shocking Racist Messages
Olivia Lewis took to her Instagram Story to share a screenshot of the shockingly racist messages she’s been getting from Bachelor Nation viewers.
Above the screenshot, she wrote, “I’ve been getting quite a few DMs calling me” the N-word.
“Said it before and I’ll say it again. We are real human beings with real feelings and we see your messages,” she admonished.
Regarding the DMs she’s been getting, she said, “This is not okay. It’s hurtful. It’s degrading. It’s evil. Think before you hit send.”
In the DM she exposes, someone wrote to her, “John henry [sic] didn’t choose u bcuz ur a [N-word].”
The shocking direct message also told Lewis to “go back” where she came from and called her a “hoodrat.”
The screenshot also shows her response to the DM, “This is pretty nasty and extremely hurtful,” she admonished the sender.
Her response continued, “I hope you find it in you to view people as equal and worthy regardless of skin color. I LOVE MY BLACKNESS.”
