‘Below Deck Med’ Kyle Viljoen Collapses
Below Deck Mediterranean got a teaser for the next episode, and Tumi Mhlongo came under pressure. Kyle Viljoen collapsed and she panicked. Later, she also confronted Chef Jack Luby who seemed to suggest that Tumi’s a snitch with Captain Sandy Yawn. Certainly, it looks like a good episode coming up. Well, apart from Kyle, who seems to be really unwell.
Below Deck Fans Hated That Kyle Viljoen Was Hired
When Captain Sandy Yawn hired Kyle Viljoen for Season 8, she also hired Natalya Scudder and Ruan Irving. It turned out that Ruan didn’t have the correct paperwork, which caused complications. However, fans just felt that Kyle and Natasha didn’t pull their weight. Still, Bravo fans wouldn’t like to see that anyone falling seriously ill on the vessel.
Fans were not against Tumi as a chief stew, but they didn’t like seeing Kyle Viljoen as the second stew. Concerns rose about him though, when he shared on social media about a mystery illness. The Below Deck Med star had a scary situation that seemed very painful. Misdiagnosed as hand-foot-mouth disease, it turned out to be very nasty Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, that landed Kyle in hospital. Was that why he collapsed in the preview?
Kyle is the only person I’ve seen on the Below Deck shows that each episode I dislike him more and more and more. I keep thinking there will be a redeeming episode but nope. Not yet. #BelowDeckMed

Below Deck – Kyle Viljoen Collapses
A preview by E! News revealed that Kyle Viljoen was busy tidying up after their guests who enjoyed a late-night party. Unfortunately, the stew started feeling dizzy. So, he told Tumi about it. Not picking up the amount of stress he felt, she wrote it off. Dropping the ball she waited until Kyle collapsed before panicking and running off to get help. The outlet wrote:
At first, Tumi thinks her stew is overreacting. “Kyle, are you being dramatic?” she asks, to which Kyle replies, ‘No, I’m serious. I feel very dizzy. I just need to lie down.
Another part of the Below Deck Mediterranean preview showed Tumi confronting Chef Jack Luby. He’d gotten a bit overly friendly with some of the charter guests. And, she’d spied him sneaking a shot of alcohol. So, she let him know about that. In a way, she had to say something, but Jack didn’t appreciate it when she mentioned Captain Sandy Yawn. She said:
Sandy is so strict on that. You have to tell her. You don’t want her to find out.
Jack suggested that nobody would know unless someone went off and snitched on him.
