Hallmark Is Quietly Filming ‘The Way Home’ Season 2
Earlier this year, Hallmark premiered the enchanting new time travel series, The Way Home. Starring Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Sadie LaFlamme-Snow, and Evan Williams, this show enchanted viewers.
The network rewarded fans by renewing The Way Home for Season 2. However, the recent Hollywood strikes have halted production of nearly all movies and television shows. Some series, like When Calls The Heart, got a special waiver from SAG-AFTRA to film Season 11. It looks like that is not the only Hallmark series filming.

Hallmark Is Quietly Filming The Way Home Season 2
Although Hallmark renewed The Way Home For Season 2 in the spring, there was no news on the production of the series that stars Andie MacDowell as the matriarch of the magical Landry family. That is, until just recently.
According to Hollywood Buzz North, production of The Way Home began on August 21 and will be completed on December 6. They are filming in Scarborough, Ontario.
Besides Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Sadie LaFlamme-Snow, and Evan Williams, other stars expected to return include Alex Hook, Al Mukadam, Jefferson Brown, David Webster, and Siddarth Sharma.
What Will Happen In Hallmark’s The Way Home Season 2?
The Way Home tells the story of three generations of Landry women. They are the survivors of an unfathomable family tragedy. Kat had moved away, got married, and had a daughter. Now, she is divorced and bringing her 15-year-old daughter Alice to her small Canadian hometown of Port Haven. There is where her mom Del lives. This is also where her childhood friend Elliot lives.
Bored, Alice inadvertently finds a magical pool where she goes back in time to right before Jacob Landry goes missing. Alice and eventually Kat go back in time and piece together what happened in the past. But what should fans expect in Season 2?
According to The Sun, some cast members attended New York Comic Con last month. There, they shared some hints about the upcoming season and what they are currently filming.
Chyler revealed, “S**t gets real.” She also revealed that in The Way Home Season 2, viewers get to see more of the origin story.
Evan was even more vague, stating, “Answers, more questions.”
Lastly, Sadie shared, “Oh my God.”
Sounds like another intriguing season of this time travel-family drama.
The Way Home Star Reveals Witchy Surprise
Although Hallmark’s Chyler Leigh is not new to the world of acting, she was unexpectedly surprised to see that her character Kat became a witch. This blindsided her.
It’s funny because I didn’t even really know why I was a witch. We learned a lot of things, story-wise, down the road.
The Way Home Season 2 will premiere sometime in 2024 on the Hallmark Channel.
I am thrilled. I love this show so much. I have been fascinated with time travel forever. I’m 73. And when I saw the cast of this show I was thrilled about that too. Angie McDowell love her. And Chyler Leigh I loved her on Greys Anatomy. I hope this show continues for many seasons.
