Hallmark’s brand-new series The Way Home is premiering on Sunday, January 15. This is a time-travel family drama that promises to be fantastic.
Starring in The Way Home is Andie MacDowell (Cedar Cove, Maid), Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy, Window Wonderland), Sadie Laflamme-Snow (Love Triangle Nightmare, Sinister Switch), Evan Williams (Versailles, Christmas Takes Flight), Alex Hook (Galentine’s Day Nightmare, Contractors), AJ Makadam (Pretty Hard Cases, Nightalk), Jefferson Brown (When Hope Calls, Masters of Romance), David Webster (Ginny & Georgia, Luckiest Girl Alive), and Siddarth Sharma (Home Schooled).
According to the synopsis, this new series centers around Kat Landry (Leigh), her 15-year-old daughter Alice (Laflamme-Snow), and Kat’s mother Del (MacDowell). The three generations of women are described as “strong, willful, and independent.”
However, 20 years ago, Kat ran off from Port Haven. She left her small, Canadian town, and never looked back. Moreover, tragic events led to Kat and Del’s estrangement.
Now, Kat is a mother, her marriage has fallen apart, and she lost her job. Del sends her a letter to come home. Therefore, she takes her teen daughter Alice back to Port Haven. Alice is uncomfortable as she feels the family tension. She sees photographs and understands that just 20 years ago, things were different.
“As the three generations of women slowly work on finding their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening – and surprising – journey none of them could have imagined as they learn how to find their way back to each other.”
This includes a pond, where Alice can go back in time, to where it all happened.

The premiere of The Way Home is on Sunday, January 15, at 9 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.

On Tuesday, Hallmark Movies Now, the network’s affordable streaming platform, announced via email to subscribers, and on their webpage that they will be airing new episodes of The Way Home every Thursday.
Hallmark also offered this same sort of option for fans of Chesapeake Shores.
