Becca Kufrin’s on-camera breakup with Arie Luyendyk Jr. is still one of the most-watched moments in Bachelor history. After getting engaged on the show, Luyendyk had a change of heart and wanted to pursue runner-up Lauren Burham. Cameras caught every heartbreaking moment of Kufrin and Luyendyk’s breakup.
Kufrin went on to headline Season 14 of The Bachelorette. Her engagement to Garrett Yrigoyen lasted two years before they split up.
Thomas Jacobs was the villain of Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette and went on Bachelor In Paradise for redemption.
He found redemption and a strong connection with Becca Kufrin, also on Season 7 of BIP. However, rather than get engaged at the end of the show, Kufrin ended their relationship.
Their separation didn’t last long. They reunited after filming and have been together ever since.
Baby Makes Three
Continuing their untraditional start, Becca Kufrin didn’t wait for a proposal. She took matters into her own hands and proposed to Thomas Jacobs in May 2022.
The couple was planning their wedding, but their love story took another untraditional detour when they unexpectedly announced that Kufrin was pregnant.
The BIP alums welcomed their first child, a son, in September 2023. A month later, rumors swirled that the two had secretly gotten married.

In a Q&A with her Instagram followers, Becca Kufrin said that her new husband’s dream wedding band had “a million baguette diamonds all around.” She joked that he might get it “if he played his cards right.”
Thomas Jacobs must have had a Royal Flush because he did get his “boujee AF” wedding band.
The former Bachelorette wrote on her Instagram Story, “Turns out Tommy played his cards right and got his wedding ring,” alongside a video of the blinding bling.
Her video ended up being the topic of a conversation in the r/thebachelor subreddit. Bachelor Nation fans loved the ring, and they loved his reaction to it.
