As Gerry Turner’s contestants dwindled, Ellen Goltzer was one of the lucky ones to keep getting roses week after week.
However, her luck ran out when Turner had to cull the field from six possible love matches to just three. In addition to Goltzer, Sandra Mason and Susan Noles were sent home in the latest episode of The Golden Bachelor.
That leaves Theresa Nist, Leslie Fhima, and First Impression Rose winner Faith Martin as Gerry Turner’s final three. Next up is hometown dates.
Sending Ellen Goltzer home was such a tough choice for Turner that he escorted her out of the mansion.
When Did She Divorce Her Husband?
During her time on The Golden Bachelor, Goltzer was open about being a divorcee and how Gerry Turner made her feel for the first time in a while.
After spending time with Turner, she told him, “You brought out a spark in me that I didn’t realize how much I needed. I can’t even remember the last time I felt this way, giggling, laughing, kissing.”
Goltzer then confessed to falling in love with the 72-year-old widower, per Entertainment Tonight.

If she hadn’t felt that way in a while, Ellen Goltzer must have divorced her ex a long time ago, right? Not so fast.
According to the US Sun, Ellen and Alan Goltzer divorced just five years ago. They were married for 25 years and have two adult children. The outlet notes that the 2018 divorce was initiated by the Golden Bachelor contestant and was “amicable.”
The Bachelor senior dating spinoff was teased back in 2020 but didn’t start production until 2023. So, no, she didn’t divorce her husband for the show.
Ellen Goltzer Is A Snowbird
The possible first Golden Bachelorette left more than just her husband. After the divorce was finalized, Ellen Goltzer fled the harsh winters of New York for sun and sand in Delray Beach, Florida. Bachelor Nation alum Tyler Cameron owns a beach house just an hour from the Golden Bachelor castoff.
Ellen Goltzer purchased a villa for $490,000 in 2020, per the US Sun. Perhaps her gated community in Florida is where she learned to play pickleball.
