Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) star Erika Jayne Girardi’s 12-year-old furbaby passed away earlier this month. The reality TV personality sat down with People Magazine to discuss this heartbreaking loss. Sadly, she tells the media outlet she had to put her Dutch shepherd named Tiago to sleep a few weeks ago.
Overwhelmed with grief, the RHOBH star made the decision not to make an Instagram announcement about the passing of her best friend. She, however, decided to speak to People Magazine because she felt it was information fans needed to know.
I had to euthanize Tiago two weeks ago. I had to put my dog to sleep. It’s just been really sad for me, and just it’s been tough.”
Erika Jayne Girardi notes she’s been grieving the passing of her furbaby hard. Struggling to accept that he is gone. Furthermore, she’s even having a hard time with the house being silent because he’s no longer there.

She Got Tiago Later In His Life
Tiago was not a puppy when Erika Jayne Girardi welcomed him into her family. She purchased him from a former U.S. Navy SEAL named Mike Ritland. As Bravo fans know, Erika brought Tiago into her life after her previous furbaby Andy passed away from cancer.
Erika Jayne Girardi tells People Magazine that Tiago had “an amazing life.”
Sadly, this death hits RHOBH viewers fairly hard as Erika Jayne Girardi’s furbaby was frequently featured on the reality TV series. Likewise, Erika also treated her social media followers to photos of him from time to time.
Erika admits she finds “enormous comfort” in the Bravo series because it will allow her furbaby to “live on forever.” When she is really missing him, she can go back and watch episodes of the show that include him.
