Presidential Speech Delays ‘Golden Bachelor,’ Will It Still Air?
President Joe Biden will be cutting into regularly scheduled programming Thursday evening to deliver a speech. He will be addressing the United States on prime time to deliver a speech from the Oval Office. The speech will air during the time slot for The Golden Bachelor. Will fans still get a new episode of the spinoff tonight along with Bachelor in Paradise? Keep reading to find out more.
President’s speech to coincide with Golden Bachelor
President Joe Biden will deliver a speech regarding foreign policy at 8 p.m. ET. Will fans still get to see the entire episode of The Golden Bachelor? The answer is yes. Those in the Eastern and Central time zones will see the show along with Bachelor in Paradise. However, it will be delayed by 15-22 minutes provided the newscast does not provide analysis immediately following the speech.
Those who will not be watching live should program their DVR to record later than normal. Fans who live in the Mountain and Pacific time zones will not be affected by the President’s speech. Since the speech is airing live nationwide it will affect the normal time slot for The Golden Bachelor or Bachelor in Paradise. You don’t want to miss Bachelor In Paradise which is airing late tonight as well.
What will he be addressing?
President Joe Biden will be addressing the hostile situation in Israel. He is sharing his administration’s response to Hamas’ terrorist attacks against Israel. Biden will also be addressing Russia’s war in Ukraine. This speech comes after Biden flew to Tel Aviv on Wednesday pledging his support for Israel.
During his time overseas, Biden said, “While it may not feel that way today, Israel must again be a safe place for the Jewish people.” He noted that the United States of America would do everything in its power to help.
Biden also pointed out that “The vast majority of Palestinians are not Hamas. Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people.” He continued saying, “Hamas uses innocent families in Gaza as human shields, putting their command centers or weapons or communications tunnels in residential areas.”
