Mystic Christmas is Hallmark’s magical new holiday movie that features the return of fan-favorite Jessy Schram. What is this movie about? According to the synopsis, Juniper Jones is a marine veterinarian. Never one to be trapped in one place, she travels around the world, doing the work she loves. The last thing that Juniper wants is to be stuck in one place.
Around the holidays, Juniper is invited to Mystic, Connecticut, as a favor to her college roommate. This is a charming seafaring town. Moreover, this is a festive place during the holidays.
In Mystic, Juniper takes a temp job at the Marine Mammal Rehabilitation Center and Aquarium. At this special facility, she works with Peppermint the Seal. This seal needs rehab to return to their natural environment.
It doesn’t take long for Juniper to fall in love with the town of Mystic. However, she has one issue. The owner of the local pizza place, Sawyer, is someone from her past. Years ago, the two had a romantic evening together, but they had not seen each other again until now.
Although things are uncomfortable at first, soon, the sparks fly. But they have different life goals. Juniper is only in town a short time, while he is firmly put in Mystic. Sawyer has some big dreams outside of this enchanting town. But his stubbornness is preventing that from happening.
While Juniper continues to insist, she has no plans to stay, the interns Juniper oversees and Sawyer himself entrench Juniper in the community, and she finds herself catching the holiday spirit. Juniper realizes that what she initially thought she wanted out of life may have changed. Juniper inspires Sawyer to go after the life he’s always dreamt of, while Sawyer (and the rest of Mystic) will show Juniper what it feels like to really belong to a community.

The premiere of Mystic Christmas is on Saturday, October 28, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel. In addition, viewers can watch this holiday movie on Peacock up to 72 hours after the premiere.
