Is WCTH Spinoff When Hope Calls Coming Back?
The WCTH spinoff When Hope Calls has not had a new episode in nearly two years. The spinoff first premiered on Hallmark Movies Now on August 30, 2019, with Season 1. Then, in February 2020, Hallmark aired the episodes.
However, Hallmark did not renew the series for Season 2.
Therefore, Hearties were happy when Great American Family announced in September 2021 that they would bring Back When Hope Calls with When Hope Calls Christmas. Former Hallmark, now GAF CEO Bill Abbott brought the show to his new network.
This two-part holiday episode featured Lori Loughlin, reprising her role as Abigail Stanton, and Daniel Lissing as ghost Mountie Jack Thornton.
Since then, GAF has not announced any further Season 2 episodes. When is the series returning?
Unfortunately, there are no current plans to make more. Recently, WHC star Morgan Kohan spoke to Hello about the series and updated Hearties on what is happening.
It’s a show that keeps popping up to say ‘Hi,’ but you never know. I think it’s a really beautiful world and I’m so happy for my time in it. I think maybe at a point, I would [return to the show] but I’m really excited with where my career is taking me now.
Morgan Kohan Stars In Sullivan’s Crossing With Chad Michael Murray
When Hope Calls star Morgan Kohan has a lot to look forward to now, despite the WCTH spinoff in her rearview mirror. She is currently starring alongside One Tree Hill alum Chad Michael Murray in The CW’s Sullivan’s Crossing.
Morgan portrays Maggie Sullivan, a neurosurgeon who is dealing with a career crisis. She returns to her hometown of Sullivan’s Crossing to pivot. This is a campground in beautiful Nova Scotia.
Although reconnecting with her father Sully (Scott Patterson) is challenging, she does find some unexpected romance.
This series, which has already been renewed for Season 2, has Virgin River DNA. That is because Virgin River author Robyn Carr also wrote Sullivan’s Crossing. Fans of Virgin River are loving this new series.
WCTH Currently Filming Season 11
One thing is certain, Hearties are getting a fantastic WCTH Season 10. Moreover, this series has been renewed for Season 11.
