One Tree Hill fans who have been waiting to see Sullivan’s Crossing are finally getting their wish. The CW just picked up the Canadian series that stars Chad Michael Murray, When Hope Calls alum Morgan Kohan and Gilmore Girls’ Scott Patterson.

The CW Acquires Sullivan’s Crossing
On Wednesday, Deadline reported that The CW has picked up the Canadian dramatic series Sullivan’s Crossing. This new series is adapted from Robyn Carr’s bestselling series. Sullivan’s Crossing centers around successful neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Kohan).
Although her life in Boston seemed perfect, everything came crashing down when her business partner was taken down for fraud. Worst of all, Maggie is charged with negligence. Her pristine reputation was taken down in seconds. How can she regain her reputation?
Needing to pivot and to get some space, Maggie returns to her childhood home of Sullivan’s Crossing. This is a campground area with rocky cliffs overlooking the water. However, that also means she has to face her estranged father, Sully Sullivan (Patterson).
Maggie soon falls into the natural rhythm of this small town. She hangs out with friends from her past. She also meets a gorgeous mystery man, Cal Jones (Murray) who threatens to break through and touch her heart.

Where is Sullivan’s Crossing filmed? Although Robin Carr’s bestselling book takes place in the American Rocky Mountains, the new series is filmed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

If Carr’s name sounds familiar, it is because she wrote Virgin River, a hit Netflix series based on her novels. Moreover, the executive producers behind that Netflix series are also behind this CW series.
