When Calls The Heart’s Andrea Brooks Talks When Hope Calls Return
Recently, When Calls The Heart star Andrea Brooks was on the Deck The Hallmark podcast talking about her competitive figure skating past, Hope Valley, working with Daniel Lissing, and more.
After discussing how her younger self planned to be the next Angelina Jolie, listening to Evanescence, and more, things got a little more serious.
Brandon Gray, better known as Bran, carefully asked the question that no one else has asked any When Calls The Heart star. He wanted to know what Andrea Brooks had to say about Lori Loughlin, and the return of When Hope Calls, now on GAC Family. However, he didn’t mention When Hope Calls, or GAC by name.
First, he wanted to know if she was happy about the news.
I don’t want to get into ‘gossip time with Bran,’ but there’s a lot going on right now in the extended universe of the show. What is that like for you that’s in Hope Valley seeing other things happen elsewhere with a show that once was with a certain network and now isn’t and with people that used to be on a certain network but now aren’t is that weird for you is it or is it like we’re excited for them?
Andrea Brooks, who also stars in Supergirl, was all for this. She enthusiastically replied, “I think I’m generally ‘yea universe!'”
Andrea then answered the question, gesturing as if she was looking at multiple phones.
I remember the day the news broke. We were all working and everyone was like ‘did you read the news?’ ‘Did you read Deadline?’ ‘Did you read the news?
She confirmed that not only Hearties were gobbling up information on this news. The WCTH cast was glued to their phones. However, it was clear, that this was news. Although WCTH co-creator Brian Bird is also involved in the spinoff, no one knew that this was happening.
Andrea Brooks Happy For When Hope Calls Cast
What did Andrea Brooks think of this “expanded universe,” albeit on the competing network? As always, the When Calls The Heart looked at this with her usual glass-half-full viewpoint.
I really like all the actors over there. I think it’s super cool and it’s also really cool that they were able to revive it because I didn’t know that there would be more seasons of …When Hope Calls.
When Calls The Heart Star Calls New ‘Surprise,’ But, ‘Awesome For Lori’
Andrea Brooks also commented on Lori Loughlin’s return. After confirming that this was “a surprise,” she also added, “Also, it’s awesome for Lori! I think she’s just so fantastic.”
Brooks also compared the When Calls The Heart universe to the superhero universe. “It’s just expands!”
Although The Wedding Fix star did not discuss Daniel Lissing’s return as Ghost Jack Thornton, earlier in the podcast she discussed him a great deal, including the final Season 5 episode.
Currently, GAC Family has not announced when they will continue filming the remaining episodes of When Hope Calls Season 2.
However, When Calls The Heart Season 9 airs on Sunday nights at 8 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.
