Is Chris McNally leaving the Hallmark series?

Hearties Wonder If Chris McNally Leaving When Calls The Heart
Hours after the explosive When Calls The Heart episode “Long Time Running,” Hearties have started to wonder if Chris McNally is leaving the Hallmark series. If he should become the next Governor, he would have to move from Hope Valley. Fans are wondering if is Hallmark looking for a good reason to let the Canadian actor gracefully leave the series.
For example, on Reddit, one fan surmised that this big romantic turnaround between Lucas and Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) may be due to McNally leaving the series.
This season has been really hard to figure out. I really enjoyed seasons 6-9 and love the chemistry between Lucas and Elizabeth. All of a sudden the romance is gone and I wonder if Chris McNally wanted to leave the show?
Another fan commented, “Lucas becoming Governor will be an excuse for Chris McNally to leave this show. It’s not like Lucas and Elizabeth had a lot of romantic interludes this season anyway.”

Daniel Lissing Left The Hallmark Series After Season 5
In this season of When Calls The Heart, there are many mentions of Jack Thornton. At the end of Season 5, Jack was killed. That was because Daniel Lissing wanted to leave the series. Although he has reprised his character in the GAF movie When Hope Calls Christmas, he has never returned to Hallmark again. His series departure caused chaos and a lot of Heartie heartbreak.
Then, in Season 10, Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich) has been asking Elizabeth about his father. Now, the schoolteacher seems to have PTSD about her late husband five years after his death. She also seems to associate her unresolved feelings with the current Mountie, Nathan (Kevin McGarry).
It is not clear if she is focusing her unresolved emotional feelings about Jack on Nathan, or if she has realized she is in love with this Mountie, and not the saloon owner. Whatever the case, this is an about-face this season.

Is Chris McNally Leaving Hallmark’s When Calls The Heart?
As for whether or not Chris McNally is leaving When Calls The Heart, we know the answer. He is filming Season 11 now. Moreover, he has been photographed with Jack Wagner and Kevin McGarry, as well as with other WCTH stars watching the first episode.
Therefore, the current storyline does not mean that Chris is leaving the series. But, it may hold a clue to what happens in the final two episodes of Season 10.

They are really messing up the character of Elizabeth. She always came across as wholesome and caring. What they are doing with her character now makes her look like a player. She is playing both Nathan and Lucas. It’s not a good look for her character. It’s quite disappointing.
I agree. I think it sort of ruins this strong female character who left her family and comfortable life in the big city to go out to the untamed wilds to be a schoolteacher. Suddenly, she fears change? Now she can’t seem to sort through her feelings for a guy who has done nothing but laid the world at her feet and seems to be at her beckoned call because of a husband who died 5 years ago? Elizabeth is turning into a flake and why? If Chris McNally is leaving the show, then fine. If he needs to dial it back because he’s in another series, fine. Make him the bad guy who chooses career over his love of Elizabeth. But turning it around and making Elizabeth suddenly as wobbly as Jell-O is really a bad way of crafting a cliffhanger in my opinion. And if it’s not a cliffhanger, then it’s messing with the audience which is even worse.
i agree makes Elizabeth look fickle and not good writting. Also things read for seaon 11. Misleading fans .
Would it be sane to marry the Mountie responsible for your late husbands death because of his negligence? Just wondering!
Long, long ago in a season far gone Lucas was shown as a potential saloon owner “bad guy.” A short scene showed him opening a trunk of cash and hiding it. That scene was never explained but sure left a bad taste in my mouth for him…and was never explained or mentioned again. What’s up with that? I’ve never forgotten it! Does anyone else remember it?
I’m a Lucas fan and do NOT want him to leave the show.
