Mike Wolfe Shares Plans For A Future Without ‘American Pickers’?

Throughout the years, The History Channel showcased numerous hit shows like Pawn Stars, Swamp People, and The Curse of Oak Island. But one show did more than entertain, it presented a glimpse into America’s rich past. Airing in January 2010, American Pickers followed the dynamic duo of Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe. The team searched America’s landscape and seemed inseparable. At least until 2020 when Fritz mysteriously vanished from the show. What followed included a massive falling out that not only hurt the series but now it seems Mike Wolfe is hinting at the end of the pickers era.

After Frank Fritz left American Pickers, Mike Wolfe struggled to keep the same momentum the original cast shared. With Wolfe about to turn 60, the host shared two sweaters supporting his antique store, Antique Archaeology. The picker promoted the new merchandise by sharing a link and telling fans to buy them. Alongside his Antique Archaeology store in Iowa, he owns another store in Nashville, Tennessee.

Supposedly American Pickers Drained Host Mike Wolfe

The sudden shift from the series draws concern, but a customer of the store said Mike Wolfe’s shop is constantly busy. “It’s a lot of fans who check out the picks seen on the show and buy merchandise.” Besides his new clothing line, Wolfe shared another project which would see him restoring a forgotten gas station.

As for American Pickers, a friend of Mike Wolfe explained how draining the show is. “I don’t know how long Mike and Robbie want to do this. I think they would like to retire at some point. It’s been 12 years. It’s a strain on your life. They’ve done this a long time. When they’re around it’s, ‘Ah we’re on the road again. I ain’t got time to do this, I ain’t got time to do that.’”

Where The End Of American Pickers Started

Back in 2021, Frank Fritz shared his thoughts on Mike Wolfe and his sudden exit from American Pickers. He admitted, “I haven’t talked to Mike in two years,” adding, “He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is.”

Two days after Fritz’s statement, Mike Wolfe broke his silence. “The journey that Frank, Dani, and I started back in 2009, like all of life, has come with its highs and lows, blessings and challenges, but it has also been the most rewarding. I will miss Frank, just like all of you, and I pray for the very best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey.”

Recovering from back surgery, Fritz fired back, “Mike’s statement was bulls***, somebody wrote it out for him. I don’t believe in 10 years he’s said five nice things to me, you know? Unless he was cutting somebody else down and we were both laughing.”

Will Mike Wolfe succeed without American Pickers or was Frank Fritz right when he said, “Thousands of people want me back…” Let us know below.
