Kyle Richards Clears The Air On Mauricio Umansky Divorce

With BravoCon taking place in Las Vegas, the cable network welcomed some of its top stars like Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to Sin City. Given the turbulent year Richards has had with her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky, fans anxiously awaited to see if the reality star would give them some new details on her crumbling marriage and where it all went wrong. Not disappointing, Richards not only discussed the split but referred to it as a “divorce”. With fans quickly catching her use of the new word, she decided to clear the air.

While walking the red carpet at BravoCon, Kyle Richards had more than enough to say to reporters as they questioned her about Mauricio Umansky and their 27-year marriage. Although it is known they are currently separated, the star admitted they still get along. “I’m grateful that we get along so well and love each other very much and we’re putting our family first. We’re still living together under the same roof and I’m proud of the way that we are navigating through this.” She explained how they are currently taking it one day at a time.

Making her rounds, Kyle Richards eventually talked to one reporter, outlining how stressful the year has been. Surprising fans, she revealed, “I’ve gone through a lot this last year that does change you. Losing my best friend to suicide changed me. Going through my divorce, all that has made me stronger but it definitely changes you as a person. I feel good.”

Given the rumors circulating about the couple, both Mauricio Umansky and Kyle Richards picked their words wisely when discussing what exactly happened. Neither used the “divorce” word until now. And not only did Richards use the word divorce, but she did it twice.

Kyle Richards Sets The Record Straight

While Fans latched on to the word, Kyle Richards addressed her statement, claiming that her marriage to Umansky was a success and that she was still in “love” with him. And as for the divorce words, “I misspoke on the red carpet today. Two times I had to correct someone when they said ‘divorce,’ I said, ‘Separated,’ and then I went and said it and then it went everywhere, so that’s my bad.'”

As for Mauricio Umansky, he continues to support his marriage to Kyle Richards, claiming that neither is ready to give up just yet. “We’re having a bit of a rough patch. She and I currently are separated, but we are not throwing in the towel. We’re not just saying that to say that. We actually are not yet throwing in the towel.”
