WCTH Season 10 was supposed to be about Rosemary and Leland’s baby, as well as Lucas and Elizabeth’s wedding. While the former happened early on, it seems less and less likely that the latter will happen in Season 10. It does not look as though When Calls The Heart Season 10 will see Elizabeth marry Lucas.

Now, the upcoming episode “All Dressed Up,” shows Elizabeth starting to question her decision to marry. That means Team Nathan fans are feeling a lot of hope now. Moreover, fans are making a lot of prognostications as there are only a few episodes left.

What do Hearties think will happen by the end of the season?

Hearties Vote On How They Think When Calls The Heart Season 10 Will End

WCTH fans are noticing that there has been very little romance in Season 10. Moreover, they notice that all of Elizabeth’s deep conversations are with Nathan. But, last week, in the episode entitled “Deep Water,” all Hearties are beginning to wonder if Elizabeth will actually walk down the aisle and marry Lucas. She was so upset about Nathan being in danger.

On Reddit, one Heartie created a poll to determine what other fans think. The poll asks, “What do you want to see in this season’s finale?”

The options are:

  • Elizabeth and Lucas break off the engagement.
  • Elizabeth and Lucas get married
  • Lucas becomes the mayor
  • The town is in trouble as the cliffhanger
  • Nathan moves away
  • One of the ladies finds love (Faith, Fiona, Mollie, Mei)

Of the 119 votes, 50 chose that Elizabeth and Lucas break it off. Next, at 44 votes, they voted that they get married. This is the majority of the votes.

One Heartie commented, “I not only need the engagement broken, I want to see the bridge burned down for 1000% satisfaction.”

Another commented, “They have written Lucas to be so laid back and Elizabeth so self absorbed in her relationship that I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a new rewrite to liven things up. They still have another season to go and if they married them off at the end of this season, it would make for a boring next season.”

Lastly, a third poster, believing that Elizabeth will dump Lucas for Nathan wrote, “I wonder if they intended the switch all along or that was a recent writing decision.”

There are a lot of opinions, with Team Nathan convinced that he will wind up winning the school teacher’s heart.

WCTH Ratings Boom

One thing is for certain, the battle lines between Team Nathan and Team Lucas have been a huge ratings booster. Everyone is weighing in on what could happen. Moreover, they want to watch to see if there are any clues as to what Elizabeth will do.

When Hallmark aired WCTH Season 10, Episode 9 entitled “Deep Water,” they nearly got two million live viewers, the most this entire season. This even surpassed the first episode of Season 10.

What is happening next?

Hearties will need to tune in on Sunday, October 1, at 9 p.m., Eastern, for the episode entitled “All Dressed Up,” on the Hallmark Channel. Peacock viewers can watch up to 72 hours after the premiere. Also, this episode will be available on Thursday, October 5, on Hallmark Movies Now.

  1. And this poll was available where? Never heard of it. But if I had I would have voted totally that Lucas and Elizabeth will wed. They’re in love they are engaged and the only problem right now is her having to really face her grief for Jack. Once that’s done the wedding will happen.

  2. Lucas wants bigger things in his life, than Elizabeth. Nathan has much more in common with her.

Lucas tries to stifle her speech when she talks to one of his customers and “corrects” her like she is his child. Nathan talks over her concerns with her, without judgement.

    The natural fit is Nathan.

  3. Elizabeth had not really had closure over Jacks death and she sees Jack in Nathan. Elizabeth and Lucas will get married if not this season then next. I too have never seen the poll mentioned in this article.

  4. Elizabeth will marry Lucas. She has always said her and Nathan are good friends. But she chose Lucas when the courtship of both men was going on. Lucas is it!!!

  6. I think Elizabeth will marry Lucas, BUT, not for love. Well, love but not for Lucas. E loves her town more than anything and in order to save the valley, she will sacrifice her life, love, for Hope Valley. I dnt think Nathan will ever get over E. His love for her is deep and in the end, he will let her go because he understands her

  7. I so very much enjoyed When Calls the Heart. It is impossible to find any programming these days that is wholesome and clean, teaching people that goodness is needed on this earth right now (and always) plus adding the biblical aspect into it. I was completely hooked….that is up until this last season, season 10. It seems the wholesomeness of the show is leaving and it is turning into “just like every other show out there”. This last season shows Elizabeth making a commitment to a man, a commitment of love and a promise of marriage (I’m not team Nathan or Lucas so my opinion would be the same if she chose the other man also) then throughout the season turning her from being this wholesome, good woman into a player. Yes, women can be called players also, not just men. She committed herself to one man and throughout the season started turning to someone else, making comments and eyes at another man. You are now making it seem that it is ok to make a commitment to someone else, play with their feelings then dump them to move on to another man. I’m so disappointed in this last season. It seems the good, wholesome show that I use to love has turned into all the other shows that are out there. It no longer stands out as special to me.
