‘The Masked Singer’: Who Is Gazelle, All The Clues And Hints

The Masked Singer returns tonight for its anniversary season, and one of the first singers of the new season has fans’ heads spinning. This is Gazelle, and she arrives on the first night singing an Alanis Morissette hit song, with the judges loving every minute of it.

Here is a look at Gazelle on The Masked Singer and what we know about the contestant.

Gazelle on The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer introduced Gazelle on social media with her first clue. The clue also called back a past contestant from the show, which might play into the 10th anniversary this entire season.

In the clue, the footage showed Africa with elephants and then Gazelle standing by a tree. She then said that if people remember the Season 4 singer who wore the Gremlin mask, that is the first clue to her identity.

To jog people’s memories, in Season 4, Mickey Rourke wore the Gremlin mask. He also was one of the most controversial singers on the show. Rourke pulled off his mask before people really had a chance to guess after his performance and basically said he was finished. He was in good humor, but it was clear Rourke wasn’t ready to keep going with his role on The Masked Singer.

But what does Mickey Rourke have to do with Gazelle? Gazelle will come out on the first episode and sing Alanis Morrissette’s hit song “Uninvited.” She wore an ornate costume with the gazelle head but with a flowery gown, bit bright eyes, and long eyelashes.  She also had her long, fit legs showing as she sang the song.

When it comes to who Gazelle is on The Masked Singer, if Mickey Rourke is a clue, she is possibly someone who appeared in a movie with the Oscar-winning actor.

Who is Gazelle in The Masked Singer?

Gazelle had an amazing voice when singing “Uninvited” and all four panelists were on their feet by the end of the song cheering. As for who is under the mask, It is likely someone from a Mickey Rourke movie.

Looking back at Rourke’s career, he has had his fair share of talented leading ladies. In his Oscar-nominated performance in The Wrestler, he starred with Marisa Tomei. Sin City featured Eva Green, Lady Gaga, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Alexa Vega.  In his breakout in 9 1/2 Weeks, he starred opposite Kim Basinger. However, there are so many more women who have appeared with Rourke in his movies.

With that said, we believe that Gazelle on The Masked Singer is Evan Rachel Wood. While Marisa Tomei gained an Oscar nomination for that movie, Wood was also in it and played Rourke’s daughter in the film. Plus, watch this video of Evan Rachel Wood from three years ago singing … Alanis Morissette’s “Uninvited.”
