‘Something About Her’ Opening Seems Delayed As Building Looks Empty

They say “No news is good news,” but is it really? Fans are still waiting to hear what is going on with Something About Her sandwich shop. Not hearing anything has people concerned about the status of Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop. The pictures that have circulated on the Internet have fans talking about the stark difference in appearance since pictures from June.

Ariana Madix Has Been Very Busy

Ariana Madix has been showing up in all different areas. She isn’t just sticking with Vanderpump Rules, instead, she has a new movie on its way to television. Lifetime’s Buying Back My Daughter will be aired October 7 at 7 p.m. CST. Also, Ariana Madix has teamed up with Pasha Pashkov for the upcoming season of DWTS, which begins September 26. Additionally, Ariana Madix has moved past Tom Sandoval and his drama onto fitness guru, Daniel Wai. With all this, how does she have any time to focus on Something About Her?

How About Those Sandwiches?

An update about Something About Her landed on TikTok in August. The clip’s caption was, “Perfection takes time.” Within the video, they posed with Penny Davidi, chef and partner, and guests gathered around a table. The video had a voice asking, “You like it?” then panning to the guest table, co-stars including Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, and Scheana Shay were all seen. All together the friends mouthed, “Pat yourself on the back, girl.” Surprisingly Katie’s ex-husband Tom Sandoval was in the video. A fan said, “Tom being there has me so confused and intrigued.” But another said, “I hope Tom and Katie aren’t back together. Katie can do so much better. Tom is weak and will never have her back like a real man.”

Is Something About Her  Worth The Wait?

Unfortunately, Vanderpump Rules fans will have to wait longer to go to Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s gourmet sandwich shop. It seems the opening date has been pushed back yet again. Reportedly, Something About Her is facing permit problems with the city. Additionally, new photographs from The U.S. Sun show Something About Her is sitting empty. Notably, the windows and doors are covered and the signage remains down.

In reality, it has been a couple of months since work was done on the building. At that time, the signage and yellow and white striped awning were removed. Significantly, they were forced to demolish the patio which in turn cost thousands of dollars. However, the project has been halted and no construction workers have been on-site for a month. According to The U.S. Sun, a source confirmed filming took place at the shop in recent weeks. While the building work is done, the signage is still not rehung weeks later. In fact, now the windows and door are covered with blinds. Based on photos, the inside is decorated and a payment system has since been installed. Even so, the business looks abandoned. Previously, Chef Penny said the opening date was being pushed back as they tried to meet city requirements for the building.

Ariana and Katie keep touting the opening of Something About Her. Further, they have sold hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars on merchandise. Yet the shop isn’t open nor are sandwiches being served. Surprisingly, some local sources confided in The U.S. Sun stating they question if the shop is only being used for filming.
