Jill Duggar Reveals Her Feelings About Jim Bob & Michelle Now
With Jill Duggar’s truth out there in the form of her new memoir, fans of the former TLC family wonder what her feelings are now regarding her parents Jim Bob and Michelle.
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, some fans believe they got somewhat of an answer to that question recently. Michelle Duggar recently celebrated her birthday. Her daughter Joy uploaded a lengthy video on YouTube featuring a large chunk of her children in addition to Joy including Jana, Jessa, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace, Josie, Kendra, Abbie, and Katey. Even Jinger and her husband, who live further away, were at the celebration. Jill, however, was not anywhere to be found in the video. Fans agreed that said a lot about her current relationship both with her mother and with her siblings.
Fortunately, fans of the former reality TV family don’t have to speculate anymore. Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, sat down with ET Online for an interview following the release of her book. During that interview, Jill opened up about what her relationship with her mother and father looked like right now.
Jill Duggar Reveals Her Feelings About Jim Bob & Michelle Now
Early on in the interview, Jill Duggar affirmed she made a wild transition. A transition from being a people pleasure to being the black sheep of the family. With the help of her husband, Jill has constructed healthy boundaries between her and her parents. Moreover, she explains that she leans on her husband when she gets lost in her feelings and can’t see things clearly when it comes to her family.
When it comes to her mother and father, Jill tries to keep her feelings separate. She explains there was a time when everyone felt like her mother had to insert herself in the middle. She, however, doesn’t want that for her mother. Moreover, Jill explains that she looks back and understands why her mother said and did certain things because of the position she was in.
At the moment, Jill admits she doesn’t really have one-on-one contact with her father. He, however, is friendly toward her when they are at some sort of family function. She clarified that weddings, funerals, and other family functions tend to be where she sees her father these days. When the opportunity strikes, she does get together with her mother and some of her siblings.
Jill Duggar has reached a point where she’s tried to move on and forgive her parents for the past. The hurt feelings, however, are very much still there. Moreover, Jill isn’t sure if her parents are respecting boundaries right now because they are actually accepting of them or because they fear them.
Either way, Jill hopes to return to a good place with her parents in the future.
