Kelly Ripa Pushes Back At Producer’s Snide Remark On Air
On Live With Kelly And Mark, Kellly Ripa tries to stay fairly even keel. There isn’t much that gets to her, aside from perhaps her husband lying. From time to time, she has been known to get pretty animated in response to her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos. But when Kelly heard an off-stage remark from the Live producer, she had something to say.
Updates On Live With Kelly And Mark
It’s been a fairly busy week for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. The couple went to LA over the weekend for a big event. But then, Live With Kelly And Mark got some pushback earlier this week for having a pre-recorded show on September 11. Partly due to it being early in the season and the other part due to it being on such a significant day in American History. Unfortunately, the new host, Mark Consuelos, was also out more this week due to a severe illness.
Recently, there has also been talk of Kelly Ripa making retirement plans. This has opened up an entirely new area of brainstorming about what might be next for her after the Live With Kelly And Mark show. On top of that, information about Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan’s feud came out.

Time For Questions?
After overhearing one of the show’s producers make a surprising comment under his breath, Live host Kelly Ripa immediately snaps back. In Wednesday’s episode, she addressed it on air. This comes just a few weeks into the Live With Kelly And Mark new season.
During the prep for the daily trivia game, “Stump Mark,” Mark said he’d throw in his Apple lightning cable, in addition to the “Stump Mark” t-shirt, as part of the prize for winning. Mark Consuelos held the cord for all to see. During their discussion, they referred to Apple’s announcement of plans to shift from that cable to the USB-C instead. As the game was about to start, Kelly interrupted to say, “I have a question, really quickly.” Continuing, “Can I go back for a second?”

Kelly Ripa Snaps A Quick Response
While Mark Consuelos takes it in stride, producer Michael Gelman is heard commenting under his breath offstage. Gelman quietly jokes, “Could we stop you?” Quickly, diverting her attention from the question she was about to ask, she responds to the show’s producer instead. Emphatically saying, “You may try, Gelman, but you won’t succeed.”
Kelly Ripa almost seamlessly returns to refocus the attention on the question. After all that, she only wanted to know if she could use the lightning charging cable for her “ancient” phone. Gelman reassured her it would work. Then they were able to get back on track to the trivia game.
