However, he’s not the first of the season to say something controversial. Keep reading to see what Luke Valentine has to say about the whole situation.

Jare Fields caught using the R-word

Big Brother houseguest Jared is getting some major flack after calling his fellow houseguest, America, the R-word. Fans witnessed Jared apologizing to Corey on the live feeds after the deed had been done. Corey is in a showmance with America, hence the apology.

“I don’t think she’s the R-word. I slipped up,” Jared said to fellow houseguest Corey. “Obviously, I was angry about it, I’m willing to admit that.”

Despite his apology, several still seem ready for him to be sent packing out of the house. Unfortunately for the network, this would mean revealing the mother-son twist earlier than they had planned.

  • “Jared should be removed from the house for using a slur against America. The R-Word is just as bad as the N-word.”
  • “Let’s make sure everyone remembers that Jared said the r-word about America. I know
@CBSBigBrother @CBS wont remove him, but everybody should know how trash he is #bb25”
  • “Jared calling America the r-word should be grounds for expulsion, especially if you have a player who has a disability in the house. Unacceptable.”
  • “friendly reminder that the r-word is a slur and jared used it AS a slur against america and cbs is about to do NOTHING about it #BB25”

Luke Valentine - CBS - Feature

What does Luke think?

Of course, it’s important to remember that there was already a houseguest sent home for using a derogatory term this season. During week 1 of the show, Luke Valentine was asked to leave after calling someone else the N-word. Now, he’s speaking out on Jared. He sees things a bit differently. Luke sees Jared as getting to stay in the house as a way of being ‘selective’ when it comes to who gets sent home.

According to US Weekly, after posting on Instagram, a fan asked Luke how he felt about the whole situation. To which Luke replied, “Enforcement of the code of conduct seems rather selective, doesn’t it?”

While it has been a few days since this happened, it seems that CBS and Big Brother won’t be doing anything about Jared’s little stunt. Instead, they seem to be pretending that nothing happened and the game will continue on per usual. However, considering the immense amount of hate they are getting from fans, it will be interesting to see if Jared’s time in the house does end up getting cut short.

Do you think it seems unfair that Jared didn’t get sent home but Luke did? Do you think the two words used are on the same level? Sound off with all of your thoughts in the comments below. Come back to TV Shows Ace for more updates on your favorite houseguests all season long.

  1. Jared should be kicked off also what is good for one should be good for the other . If Jared does not get kicked off I will never watch big brother again . What’s right is right!!!!!!!!!! I’m so tired of this raciest shit on this show , I’m not the only one who feels like this . TREAT PEOPLE EQUALLY!!!!!!?!!!
If one can’t get away with it why should another person get away with it.

    1. I agree. Fair is fair. Jared should get expelled also. CBS, wake up and read the comments. If you do nothing, it will really hurt this show. It is like you are saying Luke was being raciest and poor Jared just slipped up and said the wrong word. Both were wrong and should be treated fairly. Luke also apologized but it did not matter.
