Actor and comedian Steve Harvey was compelled to issue a heartfelt apology via social media after what he agreed was a tacky move.
Like many celebrities, the Family Feud host admits he has people on his staff who manage his social media accounts. This is a risky move for everyone involved. One wrong message on social media can get a celebrity or public figure canceled.
Unfortunately, Steve Harvey found himself at the center of a sticky situation. Someone he employed to manage his social media profiles posted something rather tacky for the world to see.

About a week ago, Steve Harvey’s Twitter posted a controversial tweet. A tweet that inspired negativity. The tweet asked who people thought was a comedian they didn’t find funny at all. See the tweet below:
The tweet exploded with over a million views. It got the engagement the individual who posted it was hoping for. But, it came at a cost. Steve Harvey’s followers were not happy with him. Many of his followers were chewing him up for the tacky question. They did not like him bringing other comedians down.
Steve Harvey Apologizes, Explains What Happened
The game show host clarified that he has staff members in charge of his social media account. And, it was a member of his staff that posted the controversial question on his account.
Steve Harvey apologized in a heartfelt video for the grief the question caused. The game show host was “p*ssed.” The question was not on brand with who he was. Furthermore, he argued it did not make sense for him to post such a thing.
As those who follow Steve know, he has always been about positivity and supporting people. So, his fans were not sure how to feel about it the tweet dogging other comedians.
He added that his staff member apologized and explained they were just trying to stir engagement. But, Steve wasn’t willing to hear the excuses. He was not happy. The game show host proceeded to reassure everyone that this type of thing would NOT happen again. And, he was taking care of the problem.

In the comments of a video containing his apology, Family Feud fans assume Steve Harvey fired the individual responsible for the tweet. Fans also seriously question if Steve Harvey is going to allow anyone else to manage his social media accounts for him after what happened.
