‘SW:’ How Did Kody Brown Land His Gorgeous Wife Robyn?
Fans of TLC’s Sister Wives have a lot of feelings for Kody Brown’s wife Robyn. Unfortunately for her, however, most of the feelings aren’t very positive.
Many Sister Wives fans blame her as the ultimate reason all of Kody’s other marriages fell apart. Some fans think Robyn always intended to push the other wives out because she wanted him to herself. A few fans even referred to her as the puppet master behind the family.
Now, Robyn refuted these claims noting that she always wanted the sister wife experience. And, she dreamed of growing old and watching her children and grandchildren on a porch with Kody’s other wives.
During an interview with People Magazine, Robyn acknowledged that she’s being referred to as “the last wife standing.”
One big question fans of Sister Wives who are newer to the TLC series have is simple: How did she get into this position in the first place? How did Robyn and Kody meet? More specifically, how did he land such a gorgeous woman as wife number four?

Per The Sun’s recount of the Sister Wives’ family history, it was Robyn Brown’s ex-husband who officially filed for divorce back in 2007. She, however, has since gone on record stating that divorcing was ultimately her decision. Moreover, she alleged it was an abusive relationship.
Fast forward two years, Kody Brown first met Robyn in 2009. They got spiritually married in 2010. It was not until four years later that Kody legally divorced his first wife Meri and wed Robyn on paper instead.
Turns out, Kody and Meri were visiting with a friend (a friend of Kody’s) when Robyn first entered their lives. She was introduced to them as the cousin of Kody Brown’s friend.
Unlike the rest of Kody’s wives, Robyn already had children from her first marriage. The bonus children made things a bit more complicated. And, they were ultimately why Kody legally divorced Meri. The reasoning was that he needed to get married to Robyn on paper, so he could adopt the children as his own and get them proper medical insurance because they were legally his.
Over the years, Sister Wives fans have disagreed with that reasoning. Most fans believe Kody Brown married Robyn because he found his soul mate. Getting married for the children was just an excuse to save face. Even Kody Brown’s son Paedon has stated on TikTok he believed his father found his soul mate in Robyn. And, he could never really fault him for that.

The Promise Of A New Robyn This Season
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Season 18 promises to show fans a new side of Robyn Brown. A more vocal side. Ahead of the Season 18 Premiere, insiders close to the family came out of the woodwork to spill family tea. Among these insiders included someone who had a lot to say about Robyn. This individual insisted that Robyn would be more vocal this season as she expressed how Kody’s divorces weighed on her.
Furthermore, an insider has also come forward to spill that Robyn and Kody have no plans to build on Coyote Pass in the foreseeable future either. Presently, what fans really want to know is what the future looks like for Robyn and Kody Brown. Robyn made it clear she doesn’t want a monogamous relationship with Kody. But, Kody has made it pretty clear he doesn’t want more wives. So, what will happen next?
