‘Today’ Carson Daly Replaced By Female Fan Favorite
Today host Carson Daly has been replaced by a female fan favorite as of Monday, August 14. Fans noticed his absence from his typical role on the morning talk show. But why was he missing? On Monday, August 14, fans noticed that Carson was not in his usual seat during the PopStart segment of Today. During this segment, Carson’s co-hosts failed to acknowledge his absence or offer any details about where he was. The show went on as it typically does, but he was noticeably missing.
During this part of the morning show, the co-hosts chatted about several pop culture topics, including Jeremy Renner’s accident.
On Monday, Sheinelle Jones filled Carson’s typical seat. If he’s absent again throughout the week, fans are interested to see who else may need to fill in for him.
Though Carson was obviously missed by his fans and co-hosts, fans were thrilled to see Sheinelle make an appearance. Alongside Sheinelle on Today were a few more familiar faces, including Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, and Savannah Guthrie.

At this point, no one has revealed why Carson Daly was missing on Monday. So, it’s unclear whether this was a permanent casting change or a temporary one.
