Savannah Guthrie Taking Break From ‘Today,’ What Happened?
Today anchor Savannah Guthrie has been absent from the show for a while.

The good news is that Savannah Guthrie is safe and sound. She just needed to take a break for a very important event. The television anchor recently opened up about her whereabouts on Instagram.

Savannah Guthrie makes time for family and a special event
Plenty of Today fans enjoy watching Savannah Guthrie onscreen. But she’s been away from the news desk for a while, so what happened?
As it turns out, she was enjoying some much-needed family time with her daughter. Savannah really wanted to take her daughter to a special event and make some fantastic memories together.
Their destination: Taylor Swift‘s Eras tour in Los Angeles.
“Memories for a lifetime with my beautiful girl. thank you @taylorswift for singing your heart out every single night. feeling so grateful and lucky to have seen this in person with the little girl of my wildest dreams ❤️” Savannah captioned her Instagram post.
She attached a slide show from the magical evening, featuring her daughter. The post revealed that she and her daughter also made friendship bracelets, which are a popular trading item at Taylor Swift’s concerts.
“This is everything 💗💗” one of Savannah Guthrie’s followers wrote in the comments.
“Can we all just live in Swift World! Let’s normalize kindness and giving out friendship bracelets!” another added.
As expected, Savannah and her daughter had a fantastic time at the show.
“The cascade of feelings and dramatic emotional comedown we all feel after the euphoria of the Taylor concert is worthy of well, a Taylor Swift song. Over to you, Taylor 🎵” the Today host captioned a subsequent post.
In every photo Savannah shared, her daughter is grinning with delight. Overall, it seems like it was a very successful adventure for the mother/daughter duo.

Although seeing Taylor Swift in concert with her daughter is a pretty big moment, that’s not the only thing Savannah Guthrie has to celebrate.
Recently, it was revealed on Today that Savannah will also be the cover star on Allrecipes Magazine. The 51-year-old also discussed the opportunity on Instagram and thanked Allrecipes for including her.
