Jon Gosselin Breaks Silence About Keeping Big Secret For Years
Former reality star Jon Gosselin recently revealed that he’s been keeping a pretty significant secret for quite some time.
The Gosselins largely stayed out of the public eye for several years. But amid Collin Gosselin‘s explosive interview, the family is back in the limelight again. The drama reignited the public’s interest in the family’s private life.
Now, Jon Gosselin is coming clean about a secret he’s held onto for the last several years. What exactly happened?
Jon Gosselin kept his love life private for a while
Jon and Kate Gosselin were married for 10 years before their split in 2009. After that, Jon was romantically involved with Colleen Conrad for seven years.
More recently, Jon admitted that he does indeed have a serious girlfriend, Stephanie Lebo. They’ve actually been together for two years, but kept their romance hidden until now.
But why did they keep their relationship so quiet?
“We decided to wait to announce it because Steph is a private person and we wanted to wait until Hannah and Collin were over 18,” Jon told The Sun recently.
The father of eight admitted that Stephanie Lebo would masquerade as one of Hannah’s friends from college. They did everything they could to stop the press from catching on.
“We obviously didn’t keep it secret from our friends and family, but I was a little worried that any attention we got from this being in the public eye might have tainted what we have,” Stephanie added. “We didn’t want anything to spoil what we had.”

The couple ultimately decided to come forward about their relationship, since they both believe that this is true love.
“I have never remarried since Kate and I’ve been divorced for 14 years. But now I have found who I want to spend the rest of my life with,” Jon happily told The Sun.
What does Kate Gosselin think about her ex-husband’s new love?
Jon and Kate Gosselin definitely aren’t on the best terms. But what exactly did she think about Jon’s new relationship?
“Kate knows about us. Hannah broke it to her. But she was nice about it, she didn’t say anything, I mean what could she say?” Jon admitted to The Sun. “In the past, I could have given up so many times in relationships and I should have, but I didn’t. In my head, I always wanted to give it my all but it was never good enough. This time I feel like I’m enough.”
If Kate Gosselin has any negative feelings about Jon and Stephanie, she’s keeping it to herself.
