Bravo star Lisa Vanderpump’s now defunct PUMP restaurant has been resurrected via a new lawsuit. Though the spot closed in early July after a decade, it appears that there was some unfinished business. Therefore, LVP was slapped with a suit. More so, it was her hubby, Ken Todd who is in trouble. However, since they are tied to everything together, this affects her, as well. So, what exactly happened? Read on for more details.

Lisa Vanderpump’s PUMP Resurrected In New Lawsuit

It was a sad goodbye when Lisa Vanderpump had to close her second restaurant in three years. First, it was Villa Blanca during the pandemic. Then, she claimed that the rent was just too much for the commitment that the landlord wanted for PUMP, located in West Hollywood. With other projects that she and her family were working on, it just made sense to close the doors after WeHo Pride, which they did. It also appears that the final goodbye will appear on Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules.

The doors have closed on PUMP and the cast of Vanderpump Rules headed to Lake Tahoe for Lisa Vanderpump’s newest venture. Unfortunately, it seems that her former restaurant is coming back to haunt her and her husband, Ken Todd. According to Radar Online, Ken is being sued by the owner of the now defunct PUMP property. It is nearly one million dollar suit, nonetheless. So, what has caused this suit to begin with? Apparently, upon ending their lease, Vanderpump and Todd had some things that they were supposed to do.

First off, the couple was supposed to transfer their liquor license upon leaving. This apparently never happened and it is needed for the new business to properly function. Additionally, it is alleged that they failed to pay $250K in rent plus other fees as their monthly rent had gone up in 2020. Finally, this came out from The Blast: “PUMP has removed from the Premises fixtures and property attached to the Premises (“Fixtures”) including without limitation a customized security gate (“Gate”).”

Getting To 950K

So, how did the property owner get to the $950K that they are suing Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd for? It seems excessively high but the breakdown does make sense. There is the $250K in rent and fees but the exact number break down is this: $750K for damages and then $200K for failing to hand over the liquor license. Plus, the fixtures and such. It seems that the owner is actively going after Ken Todd and won’t stop until justice is served. The owner even added that many of the PUMP employees opted to stay on with the new people. Maybe they just needed jobs?
