Convicted Sex Offender Larry Nassar Stabbed Repeatedly In Prison

Disgraced sports doctor and convicted s*x offender Larry Nassar has been stabbed repeatedly while serving his time in prison.

59-year-old disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar was reportedly assaulted over the weekend. Larry is currently serving a 60-year prison term after being found guilty of child p*rnography and tampering with evidence. The formerly legendary sports doctor was also found guilty of s*xually assaulting gymnasts and other athletes in his care. It is believed that his victims number in the hundreds, most of them young girls who faced him in court. 

Among his most well-known victims are world-renowned former Team USA gymnasts Aly Raisman and Jordyn Wieber.

Convicted Sex Offender Larry Nassar Has Been Stabbed Repeatedly In Prison

According to reports, Larry Nassar was stabbed multiple times while serving his term in Florida’s United States Penitentiary Coleman. TMZ reports that a representative for the prison confirmed an altercation occurred at 2:35 PM but would not confirm who was involved. They cited, “privacy, safety, and security reasons” in withholding the inmate’s name.

They did, however, provide the detail that the assault required “life-saving measures” and the victim was transported to the hospital for additional treatment. Larry suffered stab wounds to the chest and back, according to those close to the situation. Staffing shortages may have led to a lack of oversight which allowed the assault to occur.

A spokesperson added that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified. They added that, “No staff or other inmates were injured and at no time was the public in danger.” They are conducting an internal investigation into the matter.

Larry Has Been Involved In Assaults Before

This is not the first time the former Olympic coach has been involved in an assault. In 2018, Larry was assaulted hours before he was released into the general population at United States Penitentiary in Tucson, AZ. That incident and assault is what led to the sex offender being transferred to the Coleman prison in Florida.

So far, Larry Nassar’s exact condition is unclear, but Associated Press reports he is in stable condition. According to that outlet, both officers overseeing Larry’s unit were working overtime shifts. One of the officers was on his third straight shift and a 16-hour workday. The other officer was working his second straight shift.

Larry Nassar will return to Coleman to serve out the remainder of his prison term once he has received appropriate care from the hospital. Follow us for more breaking news.
