Jeremy Vuolo has officially broken his silence on his brother-in-law, Josh Duggar’s sentencing. Jeremy is Jinger Vuolo’s husband. In his statement, Jeremy also mentioned Larry Nassar. So, what do Josh’s crimes have to do with the former gymnastics doctor who’s also been convicted?
If you missed it, Josh was convicted of child pornography charges back in December after his arrest in the spring of 2021. Last month, the eldest Duggar son was sentenced to 151 months (roughly 12-and-a-half years) behind bars.

What did he say about Josh Duggar & Larry Nassar?
In his YouTube video, Jeremy Vuolo briefly mentioned Larry Nassar, the former doctor of the United States women’s national gymnastics team. Nassar is now a convicted serial child molester.
He specifically talked about Rachael Denhollander’s victim impact statement. He quoted part of the statement and shared a link to the statement for viewers to read, calling it “remarkable.”
The Duggar son-in-law said, “Her words about forgiveness were particularly compelling.”
He then read part of the statement, including the following section:
“You spoke of praying for forgiveness. But Larry, if you have read the Bible you carry, you know forgiveness does not come from doing good things, as if good deeds can erase what you have done. It comes from repentance which requires facing and acknowledging the truth about what you have done in all of its utter depravity and horror without mitigation, without excuse, without acting as if good deeds can erase what you have seen this courtroom today.”
Denhollander also mentioned that she hoped that Nassar would feel a “soul crushing weight of guilt so you may someday experience true repentance and true forgiveness from God.”
In his video, Jeremy then stated that Josh needs to repent and experience the “soul crushing guilt.”
He claimed that repentance has nothing to do with “getting off the hook.”
Though Josh Duggar is not directly compared to Larry Nassar by Jeremy, it is interesting that he would mention both cases and connect Denhollander’s statement to Josh as well.
