In a heartbreaking Instagram update, Drena De Niro confirms her son Leandro has passed away. The gutted daughter of Robert De Niro tells her followers she has no idea how she’ll go on living without her only son. And, she wishes her deep love for him could have saved him from this tragic end.

She penned: “My beautiful sweet angel . I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly .You have been my joy my heart and all that was ever pure and real in my life . I wish I was with you right now.”
I don’t know how to live without you but I’ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama . You were so deeply loved and appreciated and I wish that love alone could have saved you
In the comments of her post, fans of the De Niro family knew there were no words that could make the pain she was feeling right now any easier. Fans, however, did what they could to support her with thoughts and prayers.

Per TMZ, Robert De Niro’s grandson was found dead sitting in a chair inside of a New York City apartment yesterday afternoon. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Leandro was discovered after a friend expressed concern because they hadn’t seen or heard from him in several days.

At this time, it is unclear what Robert De Niro’s grandson’s cause of death was as law enforcement sources tell TMZ there were no obvious or immediate signs pointing toward what his cause of death may have been. So, the official cause of death will have to wait until an autopsy is conducted on his body.
