As true crime fans tune in to watch Dateline tonight, they are going to be left with one big question: Why is NBC’s Dateline Season 31, Episode 41 not airing? Moreover, why is NBC airing a repeat episode in place of a new episode?
NBC’s Dateline Airs Repeat: When Will New Episode Air?
One thing true crime fans have to look forward to every Friday is a new episode of NBC’s Dateline. Unfortunately, viewers are in for a bit of disappointment as Season 31, Episode 41 is not airing tonight during its usual time slot. Instead, NBC is airing a repeat (an episode dedicated to the Jane Bashara murder case). Originally, a new episode of Dateline Season 31 was supposed to air AFTER the repeat episode. The line-up, however, now reveals that is not the case. Instead, another repeat from Season 29 is slated to air in its place.
According to MEAWW, this news comes as a total shock as the network has not issued any formal statement regarding why it made the sudden schedule change. While fans of Dateline were hoping to enjoy a new episode of Season 31, NBC was kind enough to air two repeat episodes for fans of the series to enjoy instead.

Fans of NBC’s Deadline have been more than a little frustrated as of late as Episode 40 also got delayed because of the US Open Second Round.
At this time, fans of the true crime series have no reason not to believe Season 31, Episode 41 will air next week during its usual time slow. So, this means fans can expect a new episode of NBC’s Dateline to air on Friday, July 14 at 8 pm ET.
What Will The New Episode Be About?
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any information released about what Episode 41 is going to be about. So, fans of Dateline are currently flying blind regarding what to expect.

The repeat episode airing in place of the new episode, however, is titled “The Life She Wanted.” The episode details the murder and kidnapping of Sherri Dally.
Here is the official synopsis of the repeat episode that airs tonight: “When a young mother is reported missing, detectives learn she was last seen being handcuffed and led into an unmarked car by a mysterious blonde woman.”

They are repeating all old episodes from earlier seasons. Are they not working on dateline because of the writers strike. It used to be my favorite TV program. Soon I will just stop watching because I’ve seen them all. Has Peacock ruined Dateline like they ruin everything they touch?
