Sources close to Pete Davidson, 29, confirm the comedian has checked into rehab as he’s currently struggling with multiple mental health issues. According to Page Six, the comedian checked in to get help with his PTSD and his borderline personality disorder.
Presently, Kim Kardashian’s former flame is getting the help he needs for his mental health at the very same facility his close friend John Mulaney used when he needed help with his addiction to alcohol and drugs.
Speaking to friends of Pete Davidson, Page Six learns this hospitalization doesn’t come as a total surprise as the comedian has a history of mental health issues. Moreover, his friends confirm Pete has always been very aware of when he’s struggling and in need of extra medical assistance.
One of his friends explained to the media outlet: “Pete regularly goes to rehab for ‘tune ups’ and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening.”
Checking into a mental hospital comes just a few weeks after he apologized to the head of PETA after he left a foul-mouthed rant. As those who follow Pete Davidson know, he’s landed in headlines a few times recently as he was also charged this month with one count of reckless driving after he crashed into a home in Beverly Hills.
Another close friend of Pete tells Page Six regarding his recent hospitalization: “Anyone who knows Pete knows that he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it. He has a lot of people in his corner who love him and support him, and are proud of him.”
Tragically, Pete Davidson was just seven when his father, named Scott, passed away during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Several of the comedian’s friends are telling Page Six, there is no reason for fans of Pete Davidson to be alarmed by his recent hospitalization as he’s just recognized he needed to take a break, focus on himself, and get a handle on his PTSD.
Fortunately, for fans of Pete Davidson, it doesn’t sound like anything too serious is going on with his health. In fact, it sounds like the comedian recognized a problem was brewing and got help before it actually became a problem.
