Collin Gosselin has clearly picked a side between his mom Kate Gosselin and his dad Jon Gosselin. The young man just graduated from high school. While sharing this experience with fans on social media, he thanked everyone who helped him get to this point. However, when it comes to his parents, he only chose to thank one of them.

Collin Gosselin just graduated from high school along with his sister Hannah. They live with their dad Jon Gosselin, while their other siblings remained with Kate. After he graduated, Collin decided he wanted to take the time to show gratitude and thank the people who supported him on his way through school. He included his “mentors, friends and of course family.”
However, when it came to his family, he never mentioned his mother Kate Gosselin. Instead, he wrote that Jon Gosselin taught him about “resilience” and said he was “always supporting my decisions and having my back when I bite off more than I can chew.” Colin also thanked Colleen Conrad. This is Jon’s ex-girlfriend, who remains close to both Collin and Hannah. Collin wrote, “When you think of someone you want by your side, you think of Colleen.”
He said nothing in the post about Kate Gosselin at all.
Collin Gosselin had a complicated childhood with Kate Gosselin
Collin Gosselin has a reason to have a complicated relationship with his mother, Kate Gosselin. When he was a young teen, Kate placed him in a mental institution, claiming he was uncontrollable. Collin has since said he suffered from severe ADHD, and he said that his mother put him in the institution instead of helping him get his condition under control.
Collin also said that she almost never came to see him and left him at the Fairmont Behavioral Health Institute for three years. Finally, Collin sent a message to his dad. “I told Mom I want to live with you, she said no,” he wrote. “But right? She can’t choose for me. I’m old enough now, I’m YOUR son, not hers. She was abusive to me after I left your house. I’m sorry.”
Jon checked out Collin and the boy moved in with his dad. Soon, his sister Hannah also moved in with Jon after she became estranged from her mother. The two graduated from high school, and while Kate attended their graduation, she reportedly never attempted to talk to Collin at the event.
