The summer 2023 anime season is almost here and there are a number of big shows hot with anticipation.
This year is full of a lot of major moments in the anime industry. Whether it’s the end of Attack on Titan, the continuation of Jujutsu Kaisen and Spy x Family, or the latest season of My Hero Academia. Usually, the biggest shows arrive in the fall, but is there anything for fans to get excited about this summer? Here are some of the biggest shows that will be getting new seasons on Crunchyroll in the coming months.
New Anime Headed To Crunchyroll
A poll on the popular site My Anime List recently found out which new seasons fans are the most ready for this summer. There are some surprising additions, but the number one spot should come as no big shock.

The new season with the most anticipation this summer is obviously Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. It’s one of the biggest new anime in the world. The first season and the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 were both massive successes. Now Season 2 is finally almost here with a premiere date of July 6th.
The anime with the second-most votes is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. It’s one of the most popular isekai out there right now. The show is about a man who died homeless and broke in his own world before being reincarnated in another world. There he gains a desire to change his circumstances under a new name.
Bleach, Rent-A-Girlfriend, & More
The third and fourth positions on the poll go to Masamum Kun’s Revenge-R and Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War. These are both anime that are back after the original had its end some time ago. Masamune Kun’s Revenge is picking up after a 6-year hiatus. Meanwhile, the new Bleach seasons are the first after a 10-year hiatus. That makes it a pretty exciting time for fans of both of these stories.
The final two places on the list go to the third season of Rent-a-Girlfriend and Horimiya: Piece. Both of these are romantic anime. All of the shows will be found on Crunchyroll as they premiere except Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War. That show is one of the few that currently has a license with Disney+ and its expanding anime library. Crunchyroll overall still has domination over the vast majority of anime media as it comes to the West. But Bleach is a pretty major show for the platform not to have.
All of these shows will be arriving on Crunchyroll this summer.
