Josh Seiter Embraces Newfound Popularity As LGBTQ+ Symbol
Bachelorette alum Josh Seiter is all over media headlines after coming out as bisexual and being in a relationship with a mystery man named David. The exotic dancer and reality TV personality loves people of all shapes, sizes, and walks of life. He tends to see age as just a number and he seems to be more than willing to give second chances to people who initially greet him with negativity.
Concluding his chase of a few reality TV crushes, Josh Seiter was pleasantly surprised when he found an unexpected love that had always been at arm’s reach. Josh Seiter tells Tv Shows Ace exclusively he’s VERY happy in his relationship with his new man. He, however, warns his growing following they shouldn’t expect to see any cute couple photos as he’s with someone that doesn’t want to be in the spotlight.

Tv Shows Ace asked Josh Seiter how he feels becoming an idol/symbol of the LGBTQ+ community. Moreover, does he plan on using his platform to speak out and represent his community? Will he fight battles when necessary?
As Josh reminds us, he’s always been a very outspoken person. So, he is more than ready to embrace being an advocate for this community which has been so welcoming to him. Here’s what he had to say about it:
“I’m very humbled that people find my decision to come out as bisexual as laudable. If it means I can advocate for LGBTQ issues or use my platform in any way to effect change, I will. I’ve long been outspoken on issues related to mental health and suicide prevention, and I plan to be the same on issues affecting the LGBTQ community. In fact, the two go hand in hand in my opinion. You can’t really discuss one without implicating the other.”
Tv Shows Ace Exclusive: Have you noticed an increase in popularity since you came out? Are people just liking you more now that you are being your true self?
Josh Seiter: “I’ve also noticed that the narrative around me has changed. I think it’s due in part to me being more honest and authentic about my struggles, and also due in part to the lens through which society views LGBTQ issues. I tend to not give much weight to how people view or talk about me, but it’s nice to know that the discourse around me has shifted for the better. More importantly, I hope it can help other people who may be struggling to be more open and honest about their internal battles.”

Should The Bachelor Franchise Tap This Community?
Tv Shows Ace also asked Josh Seiter if he had any thoughts on The Bachelor franchise exploring this community for a season. Turns out, he had some pretty strong feelings about this idea. He, however, doesn’t think it is something the franchise will ever embrace doing.
I think the franchise would benefit from an LGBTQ season. I think after 20 some odd seasons of the same old plot line, it’s time to change the narrative. Over 7% of Americans identify as LGBTQ, which means the franchise is effectively leaving out 25,00,000 Americans each year. But the show has always shamelessly pandered to a small niche of middle-aged women, so I wouldn’t expect changes anytime soon
