Tragic breaking news as actor Ray Stevenson, known for his roles in the Thor and Star Wars franchises has been confirmed dead at the age of 58. Fans of this talented actor are devastated to learn of his passing at such a young age and are curious if his cause of death has been made public just yet.

Ray Stevenson Dead At 58: Cause Of Death

The actor’s publicist confirmed Ray Stevenson passed away over the weekend (on Sunday, May 21, 2023) via TMZ. Unfortunately, no other information regarding his cause of death or even the manner of his death has been revealed at this time.

Born on May 25th, 1964, Ray Stevenson was born on a British army base in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Tragically, his death comes just days before his 59th birthday.

He kicked off his career in the acting industry in 1993. After snagging a few roles in a few different TV shows, it was his role in the 1998 film called The Theory Of Flight that really landed him in the spotlight.

His acting resume expanded to include The Book Of EliThe Other GuysRome, and Kill The Irishman. In 2011, he landed the role of Volstaff in Marvel’s Thor. He continued his role as Volstagg in several more installments of the Thor franchise.

Ray Stevenson is also a well-known actor in the Star Wars franchise as he voiced the character Gar Saxon in Rebels and The Clone Wars. Likewise, he also landed the role of a character in the series Ahsoka which is slated to premiere this year.

His face is also recognizable among fans of the Divergent franchise and the Showtime hit series called Dexter.

With over 60 credits on his acting resume, Ray Stevenson accumulated a substantial fan base. And, his fans were understandably gutted to learn of his passing. Likewise, actors and actresses that had the pleasure of working with him over the years also took to social media to pay tribute to the incredibly talented man.

Marvel and Star Wars fans are devastated to learn of Ray Stevenson’s death.
