Kim Kardashian Has Big Announcement About Possible Law Career
Kim Kardashian has big news about the possibility of a future law career, following in her dad’s footsteps. Kim, who started doing some law work back in 2018, has just revealed she took a big step in her possible law career. More so, she has given a timeline for when fans can expect to see her making that jump.
Here is what you need to know about Kim Kardashian and her interest in a law career.
Kim Kardashian finally passes “baby law exam”
Kim Kardashian has “law” in her blood. Her father, Robert Kardashian was a high-profile attorney who made his family’s fortune on the back of his law practice. He was even part of the team that got OJ Simpson cleared of murder charges in one of the most high-profile murder cases in American history.
This has led Kim to want to get involved in the law industry. She even started using the experience she learned in college to help others. In 2018, she started to petition and work with people incarcerated for reasons that might have resulted in inflated sentences. Kim even took credit for Donald Trump signing the First Step Act into law, which helped get some people out of prison early for good behavior.
On top of studying law and getting involved in cases to help others, Kim wanted to get her license to practice law. Of course, a person needs to pass the bar exam to become an attorney, and the bar exam in California is not an easy one to pass. The good news is that people can take a smaller exam called the “baby bar exam” to prepare for the major exam, which often takes people two days to complete.
Kim failed the baby bar exam three times. However, she took it a fourth time because she doesn’t give up and wanted to prove she deserved the chance. Kim passed the exam on her fourth try. She commented on it on Instagram.
What does Kim Kardashian have planned for her career
“I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route but it was my only option,” Kim wrote. “I am told [my dad] was notorious for making fun of people who didn’t pass on their first attempt like he did, but he would have been my biggest cheerleader!”
This leads to what Kim has planned for her possible law career. The reality TV star was at the 2023 TIME100 Summit and spoke to news anchor Poppy Harlow. This was a segment titled Kim Kardashian: The Power of Influence and while some fans wanted to hear about her reality TV career, and upcoming acting performances, Harlow had a bigger question.
Harlow wanted to know more about Kardashian’s interest in following Robert Kardashian’s path to the world of law. This was when Kim dropped the huge news. “I’m probably going to take the bar in February 2025. (…) I think it’s like a 36 percent pass rate,” Kim said.
This is big news. The pass rate for the baby bar is 16%. She has a chance to finally make this big move.
