‘American Idol’ Judges Desperately Needs Simon Cowell Honesty?

American Idol fans are not particularly happy with Katy Perry, any of the other judges, or Ryan Seacrest right now. Fans are constantly ripping all of the judges as well as Ryan for being rude, judgmental, and for sugarcoating everything instead of giving any real or honest feedback. Viewers at home are pretty much in agreement that the singing competition is in desperate need of some Simon Cowell honesty.

What is Simon Cowell honesty?

As longtime viewers of the show know, Simon Cowell is the OG American Idol judge. He was a man that most people loved and hated at the same time. But, for a singer to get a compliment or a standing ovation from Simon Cowell, it meant they were extremely talented. Simon Cowell has been a talent competition judge for a very long time. Moreover, he’s also considered to be an extremely successful music mogul. This is a man who knows talent and he’s never been interested in sugarcoating his feedback to avoid hurting someone’s feelings.

Viewers of American Idol agree the show desperately needs Simon Cowell to return. Or, at the very least, they need his honesty to come shining through from one of the current judges. The problem, however, is not many judges can pull off that honesty that comes off as criticism without being taken the wrong way by the viewers at home. People tuned in to watch Simon Cowell because they couldn’t wait to see what raw and honest things came out of his mouth.

Currently, Katy Perry has very openly admitted she’s terrified of American Idol fans. Thanks to cancel culture and woke culture, it’s very difficult for the current panel of judges to even think about taking the Simon Cowell approach to things.

Fans think the show may just need him back

For the most part, viewers understand that woke and cancel culture prohibits the judges from really taking a Simon Cowell approach to how they judge and give feedback. This is why a lot of fans of American Idol think the producers really just need to axe someone and get him back on the panel. Alternatively, fans think the show may need to be canceled if they can’t get Simon Cowell or at least his energy successfully on the judging panel.

At the end of the day, no one seems to be enjoying the soft judging approach everyone is taking now. Fans, however, also tend to get pretty irate any time Katy says the wrong thing that could be taken offensively.
