Dancing With The Stars fans were over the moon to learn that Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy were expecting. After several miscarriages, all the couple wanted was a healthy baby to complete their family.
Back in January, Peta proudly announced that she was carrying a healthy baby and was due this summer. Up until now, the family has kept many details a secret.

Maks Chmerkovskiy previously said that he and his wife weren’t interested in a public gender reveal. After the miscarriages, they honestly just wanted a healthy baby.
But now, it seems like they’ve changed their minds. The couple uploaded an Instagram video teasing fans about an upcoming gender reveal.
“When @maksimc and I realized I looked like a Tellytubby we could barely get through this 😂 …but seriously though 💙 or 💖 ??? Check back here tomorrow for the reveal XO” Peta captioned her initial Instagram post.

Of course, Maks and Peta couldn’t share their special news without the help of their older son Shai. They uploaded a video of themselves dancing before Shai runs in holding up a paper that reads “boy.”
“It’s a…… 💙💙💙” Peta began her follow-up Instagram post. “The Chmerkovskiy’s as a whole are creating their own soccer team LOL! We’re so elated that Shai will get a baby brother and cannot wait to meet this little guy. He is already measuring quite large 😬 and loves to kick mummy in the ribs at all hours of the night!”
“Honestly though, when we heard he was fully healthy we both shrieked with joy. There is nothing quite like getting that phone call, with the nurses *pause* (ugh it’s awful) before telling you they’re all good results !! 🙏🏻❤️” the professional dancer continued. “We will have a house FULL of boys, including our little Hachi! I guess this means we have to try for baby number 3 to get that girl 🤷🏼♀️🙈”
“Rome’s bff is coming so soon!!!!” Maks and Peta’s sister-in-law Jenna Johnson wrote in the comments, referencing her own son. Rome Chmerkovskiy and his new baby cousin will only be about five months apart.
Overall, fans were delighted with the family’s positive news. Hopefully, the Chmerkovskiys will share more baby updates as Peta’s due date inches closer and closer.
