‘DWTS’: Peta Murgatroyd Shares Exciting Family Update With Fans
Last year was an incredibly difficult one for Dancing With The Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd. She bravely chose to open up about her miscarriages and fertility issues before announcing that she and her husband Maks Chmerkovskiy would try IVF. Sadly, things didn’t go as planned and the treatment didn’t work.
To take her mind off things, Peta joined the cast of DWTS Season 31. Unfortunately, she and her partner Jason Lewis were eliminated first. Then just a few weeks ago, the 36-year-old dancer announced that her father passed away.
But amid all the heartbreak and hardship, Peta Murgatroyd still found a reason to smile. She’s completely overjoyed about the news she has to share with her followers.

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd love their son, Shai. The little boy turned six years old this month. However, they’ve longed to give him a sibling for years.
Now, it seems like Maks and Peta are finally getting their wish.
“It brings me immense joy to finally announce that @maksimc and I are expecting our Chmerkovskiy #2 ❤️” the professional dancer captioned her adorable maternity photos. “After 2 years of constant struggle and heartache, 3 miscarriages and a failed embryo transfer…we have a healthy bun in the oven :)) It was a shock to all of us and we found out right before I was going in for my second round of IVF.”
“I want to thank ALL OF YOU who’ve been on this fertility journey with me from the beginning. It feels like I’m sharing this news with my extended family,” Peta Murgatroyd continued. “Thank you for sharing your stories and tips to get me through my IVF cycle and thank you for the plethora of encouraging comments and DM’s …I read them all. This news has brought extraordinary bliss to our family and we have so much to be grateful for 🙏🏻….coming June 2023.”

Maks Chmerkovkiy’s younger brother Val and his wife Jenna Johnson just welcomed their first child into the world. The baby boy was born on January 10, 2023. However, the family hasn’t given more details other than that. Fans expect to learn more about the baby in the upcoming days and weeks.
