‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’: Gary Jealous Of Daisy & Colin’s Hookup

In the new season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Gary King gets jealous of Daisy Kelliher’s hookup with Colin McRae. The show returned for its fourth season on Monday, April 10 and it came with some setbacks. Fans saw the preview for this season, which shows a new love triangle. Keep on reading to learn more.

Where’s Gary King?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 premiered on Bravo on Monday night. Some recognizable faces returned such as Captain Glenn Shephard, chief stew Daisy Kelliher, and chief engineer Colin McRae. However, first officer Gary King was not in the premiere episode. Captain Glenn revealed that he came down with COVID.

In one scene, Captain Glenn had a FaceTime session with Gary. He lay in bed as he tells Captain Glenn that he keeps testing positive for the virus. Captain Glenn is hoping that Gary will return to lead the deck team. For now, Colin will have to temporarily step in and steer them in the right direction since they’re green.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 trailer shows that Gary does make the charter season. Once again, he promises that he won’t “hook up” with any of the female crew members. Of course, Gary failed to fulfill that promise the last season. He started making out with former third stew Ashley Marti.

“My intention is not to come in and hook up with a chick. I’m here to make money and have a good time and give guests good experiences,” Gary said in his confessional as he does every year.

Things took a turn when Daisy hooks up with one of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew members. She wants to pursue a relationship with the newly single Colin. Gary and Colin are best friends, and Gary has a crush on Daisy. This could ruin their friendship.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4: Surprising new love triangle

Colin revealed on the premiere of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 that he’s no longer in a relationship. He ended his previous relationship with Silvia Latini. The two dated since 2022. Colin wants to have fun on the Parsifal III and find a connection.

He makes out with Daisy in the trailer. Once Gary finds out, he’s fuming. He feels that Daisy is hooking up with Colin to “spite” him. He even confronts her about it, as seen in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht trailer.

“You know you like me, deep down. And, I feel you’re hooking up to get back to me…spitefully hooking up,” Gary tells Daisy.

He’s trying to convince himself that he’s the one that Daisy likes. In another scene, Colin asks Gary if he likes Daisy. Gary only admits that he likes her “as a friend.” Despite what he said, it looks like Gary is jealous of Daisy’s hookup with Colin.
