Many Big Brother players have gone on to compete in MTV’s The Challenge over the years. One player in particular, though, may never see the day that they compete, despite fan desire to see them play. This comes via this person’s own words that make it pretty certain this is not going to happen. So what’s the reason? Is it the player themselves, or something with CBS? Moreover, will viewers ever get to see the return of this player to the reality competition world? Read on for more details.
Not Doing The Challenge
The player in question is Kaitlyn Herman. Her reputation comes from Season 20 of Big Brother where she took 13th place. Her eviction is infamous as a result of her actually having a second chance to stay in the game. All she had to do was finish a six-piece puzzle in less than 2 and a half minutes. Kaitlyn fell apart under the pressure, though, ultimately spending more time crying than actually solving the puzzle. Many Big Brother fans consider it one of the biggest player blunders in the history of the show.
In Kaitlyn’s tweet, she claims she has gotten numerous requests to play on MTV’s The Challenge since leaving Big Brother. She says she’s turned down their offers every time. “Not for me,” says Herman to sum up her desire to play. Her largely negative reputation in the Big Brother community may be partially what’s contributing to Kaitlyn departing from the reality competition world. It’s likely difficult to stick around after being the punching bag of Season 20’s early game.
Big Brother
Many Big Brother players are supposedly coming to the second season of The Challenge USA later this year. Season 1 came last year with 9 former BB players among the cast including Kaitlyn’s Season 20 castmate Angela Rummans. Alongside them, the rest of the cast was players from Survivor, The Amazing Race, and Love Island. Season 2 is set to be no different, with players returning from those shows as well as possibly even other reality competitions.
There is no official cast announcement as of right now, but there are rumors flying around everywhere. One of those rumors involved Kaitlyn possibly making an appearance, hence her tweet addressing the idea. An official cast announcement will likely arrive sometime in late spring or early summer just like in 2022. Sadly, Kaitlyn will not be attending. She probably wouldn’t have been too good at any of the puzzles, anyways.
MTV’s The Challenge USA Season 1 is out in its entirety right now. Season 2 should be arriving this summer. Will you be watching?
